Empire Hook & Ladder Co. of Pottstown Fire Dept. Montgomery County Station 69-C
Originally organized as Sun Rise Hose Co. In August of 1876 name changed to Empire Hook & Ladder Co. #1. Within 6 months the company was in service. The company moved to it's present location in 1884. From these quarters, good and faithful service has continued for over 130 years.
The Borough of Pottstown is covered by 4 fire stations. The fire department was established in 1871. Each of the borough's stations is manned by a full time paid driver 24/7.
