Don't know about the gas station but the new food places are ridiculous now. Subway was out of several different items, taco John's was slower than molasses and winter time, and apparently they don't like cleaning up. Don't know if they were short-staffed, working out the bugs from just recently moving to this location, or if this is the new norm at the service areas
Taco John's was open but no one will come to the counter. Not sure if they knew they what they were doing but they were walking around the back part of the restaurant eating. Management needs to either retain the employees or get ones that want to work. Ended up leaving after 30 minutes waiting.
Nice place to stop and take a break. The convenience store is smaller than the others on the KS Turnpike but it will satisfy anyone's needs. Nice to see there is a Taco Johns and Subway here instead of McDonald's only on the turnpike. Service will probably be slow at these restaurants.
This is not a helpful place to stop. The bathrooms are tiny. The gas pumps super slowly. There are not enough places to stop or park or even line up for the very slow gas pumps. It’s nice that there are stops along the tollway but this is not well laid out or well thought out and therefore not pleasant.
Ate at taco John's I had 1 chicken taco and I was full... I couldn't have any carbonated or caffinated products so I just got ice used my propel with it... taco was good but after gastric bypass surgery I can't eat alot...
The McDonald's on the turnpike was very slow during an early morning, Saturday visit. Yes, it is extremely convenient to not have to exit the highway, but when I am traveling, I want to make good time. I don't like having to wait 7 minutes to order coffee. They may have just been short handed this day.
If I had to describe it here it goes fabulous, clean and classy management and staff are amazing I love those cookies that are made fresh
My family stopped for gas and possibly other items. When entering the store we noticed trash receptacles overflowing and mentioned it to the male clerk who said “I don’t care.” The bathroom needed attention as well. I asked for the clerk’s name and he replied , “Isaiah”. We will try avoiding this location in future trips.
We enjoyed our Subway sandwiches and were happy to be in beautiful cooler summer weather.
1st of all, if you have to potty, go to McDonald's! Do not go to the little gas station bc there only 1 restroom for each but it's nasty. Always. 2nd the whole place has "NO PETS" signs! I had my dog with me, so I just went to a corner of the playground & walked her. I bagged up after her as usual but it's annoying that there is no labeled pet area. There is however a playground & that's nice if you have kids. There's a gas station & little overpriced convenience store. There's also a McDonald's with drive thru & dine in. Honestly, I don't stop at this rest area unless absolutely necessary. There's another one about 30 miles away. That one is much bigger & cleaner.
