Wanted to share my recent experience because I was really worried after reading reviews. My daughter and I both got semaglutide prescriptions filled here, they allowed us to merge our order and ship them together so we only paid for cold shipping once. They were very helpful and did tell us they were backlogged and it could take 7-10 days to get filled. It just arrived via UPS and it was like 5 days ago including the weekend that I paid for it, so that was SUPER fast!! They had it filled in less than 3 days. We used Push Health to find the doctor and the entire process from getting set up to having it delivered to our home took 7 days. Very happy! And dealing with Empower on the phone was great, no issues there at all. Totally recommend!
I was nervous about working with the pharmacy but I took a chance. I vetted the pharmacy by messaging and calling. My questions were answered in a timely manner and I was able to talk to a representative. I asked questions based on what a nurse friend suggested. My provider sent in my prescription, it took about a week for it to be ready. Once I paid, the medication was shipped to my home overnight and it was cold as it should have been. One complaint I do have is once I received the medication, I had questions and wanted to speak to the pharmacist. I was on holdd for about 45 minutes and the phone disconnected. I emailed customer service and a pharmacist called me back within 24 hours. I work in an area that is customer service based so I understand about making things right. So far, I don't have an complaints but it has only been a short time. If things change I will update but I will give them a chance to make it right. I hope I can continue to work with the pharmacy without having problems.
The medical clinic I represent recently entered into a partnership with Empower Pharmacy to fulfill our peptide medication requirements. Our initial experience with Empower Pharmacy was disappointing and concerning. We submitted our first prescription order for a patient and immediately noticed significant discrepancies in the information provided to Empower Pharmacy. Our credit card details, clinic address, phone number, and clinic name were all inaccurately recorded by Empower Pharmacy, despite us providing the correct information both verbally and in written form during the account setup process. It's important to note that Empower Pharmacy not only input our information into their system incorrectly but also failed to contact us to verify the accuracy of the data. This was a major oversight on their part and a breach of professional standards. To address these issues, we promptly contacted our assigned sales representative at Empower Pharmacy. She assured us that she would rectify the situation by updating our clinic information and sending us a corrected credit card form. Regrettably, days later, we were alerted by our patient that they had received multiple automated calls from Empower Pharmacy, demanding payment for their medication. Our clinic never authorized Empower Pharmacy to contact our patients for payment, nor were we informed about any changes to our payment account. This unprofessional communication with our patient left them bewildered and frustrated, especially since the patient in question was elderly. Empower Pharmacy should have exercised greater caution, considering that our elderly patient could have easily provided their credit card information, leading to potential complications with refunding any erroneous charges. In this situation, our patient even verbalized that Empower Pharmacy's approach felt like they were being pressured or "poached" for payment, which is completely unacceptable. In response, we immediately reached out to Empower Pharmacy to seek clarification on this situation. Unfortunately, our interaction with the clinic service representative, Caren W., was unsatisfactory. Ms. W. lacked the necessary information about our case, and her communication seemed scripted. We were baffled as to why we were redirected to Ms. W. instead of speaking directly with the management team, as we had requested. Despite our request, we have not received a return call from a manager, as promised by Ms. W. We also attempted to contact our sales representative, but initially received no response. When we finally reached her, she explained that Empower Pharmacy had contacted our patient due to a supposed change in our payment account, an action that was neither authorized nor communicated to our clinic. We expressed our frustration at the lack of prior notification from Empower Pharmacy regarding this matter. It is unacceptable to change critical account information without consulting us, as we could have taken proactive steps to inform our patients and ensure a smooth transition. Empower Pharmacy's mishandling of our credit card information and clinic details, along with their failure to verify the provided information, is disappointing, to say the least. We had expected a higher level of professionalism and competence from a pharmacy with whom we chose to partner. In light of these issues and the overall unprofessional experience we have had, we cannot recommend Empower Pharmacy to any clinic or patient. Such lapses in communication and service quality are concerning and do not meet the standards we expect in our professional relationships.
First time I get there they said my medication was out of stock, a few days later They did call me, to ask me if I wanted my medication will be ready in 4 hours, I got out of town a couple of days and when I came back I went to pick it up, just to find out they say the don’t have it, don’t be fool for the amount of diplomas hanging in the walls, that means nothing when customers service is that bad, I am not angry at all, I just want to prevent you to get a headache with this pharmacy. I should read the bad reviews before I went, if you still go I wish you a better experience
I have been using them for years. Things have declined. Every time you call they say they are experiencing high call volumes. Now it seems they use a foreign service to answer and then transfer you. Hard to understand them. Last time I had to call again because the order never was submitted by whoever took it. They tell me there is a 10 day shipping delay every time. I literally live across Houston and there is no reason they should need 10 days to ship it, but yet can have it ready for pickup the same day after filling. So I travel 50 minutes to pick up at the facility. Not an attractive thing. Overall I see a company that has the business but doesn’t pay attention to certain aspects of customer needs. Whoever is managing it needs to wake up. If there was another local option they would be history as far as I’m concerned.
Do not recommend. We were poached by them to use their services for our new plastic surgery office. No communication after sending in a script for numbing medication for our patients. You call and then they tell you there’s a problem with the order but they don’t email or reach out. We answer their questions and yet 10 days go by and still can’t seem to get our numbing creams for our patients. Even drove all the way here to pick it up only to be told it’s still not ready.
I was a customer. I ordered a few vials for my IV clinic, was told they would be shipped out the next day. It wasn't shipped out until over 7 days later. Due to the delay in shipment, the vials stood out in the heat and had to be discarded. Contacted Empower for a refund due to their delay. They said a "ticket was made and someone would follow up." Nobody every followed up and their customer service was not at all helpful.
I've been a patient of Empower Pharmacy for over two years. Regrettably, the service that was once efficient and reliable has declined significantly. My main concern lies with the time-consuming process of calling in for prescription refills. Be it day or night, you're bound to endure a waiting time of no less than 20 minutes before speaking with a representative. Empower Pharmacy seems to operate on a two-tier system which causes even more frustration. Upon getting through, the first-tier representative will collect your details, only to pass you onto another representative in the second tier. This process isn't swift, with a further wait involved to reach the second representative. The situation worsens if you are erroneously directed to the wrong department, which requires you to be redirected and wait yet again for another 20 to 30 minutes. This redundancy and inefficiency are absolutely frustrating. Despite having already shared your information with the first-tier representative, the second-tier representative will ask for your information again, adding to the inconvenience. While the actual prescription refill process is quick provided the doctor has sent an updated prescription, the experience leading up to this is burdensome. It's disappointing to realize that the first-tier representatives are not empowered to verify prescriptions or even provide a status update. They essentially act as gatekeepers, which only increases the overall waiting time and reduces their utility to patients. They could greatly improve the service by empowering their first-tier representatives to be more useful in the process. I'm looking for a new prescription re-fill service, maybe one that allows for online ordering.
Reading these reviews, I was really nervous coming here to pick up my prescription. My provider would ship, but I have to be home to sign for it and my schedule is pretty hectic. I told him I would just come to North Houston and pick up in person. What an amazing, easy experience. My prescription was ready and there was zero wait. The young lady at the desk was cordial and the utmost professional. 5 stars for Empower.
Unfortunately Empower became extremally difficult to work with since it's impossible to talk to a pharmacist, and their order times are ridiculously long which makes doing business with them extremely risky. You can not provide what you prescribe to your patient in a timely manner. Furthermore, so many of their core vitamin products are out of stock and have been out of stock for months. Again, this makes maintaining consistency in your business impossible. I absolutely do not recommend working with Empower until they fix their internal issues.
