Endangered Species by HSL manufactures and markets eco-educational fun products for kids and babies that moms can trust. Created by Mom and Founder Laura Hite, she is committed to teaching young children about endangered animals while creating fun products that are environmentally friendly. Endangered Species uses recycled packaging and helps support a good cause. A portion of every purchase of an Endangered Species by HSL is donated to the Defenders of Wildlife Organization to help endangered animals. With innovated bath toys, first aid, activities sets, travel items and gifts, there is a variety of unique gifts to choose from.
Endangered Species by HSL uses "stone paper" made from reclaimed limestone. It is durable, waterproof and tear resistant. It does not use wood pulp, so it saves trees. The manufacturing process does not use water, does not emit toxic gas, nor does it pollute. Stone Paper is recyclable, bleach free and toxin free. Stone Paper is featured in several Endangered Species by HSL products, as are recycled packaging printed with soy ink. From their Eco-Doodle Activity Mat with soy crayons to their reusable Bath Coloring Scenes that cling to tile or glass when wet colored with wipe-off soap crayons, the goal is to educate children about our endangered animals while they have fun.
The Color your Own Eco-Pack™ backpack comes in 3 designs, sea life, safari and jungle. This drawstring backpack made with recycled materials is both practical and fun. The child can enjoy coloring the designs while storing and carrying their favorite items. The Eco-Pack comes with washable markers so mom can wash it for her child to enjoy coloring it again and again!
Their newest craft item, the Eco-Wedge Crayons™, are made with beeswax and come in 12 fun colors. These unique shaped crayons are designed with multiple coloring points for fine drawing to large coloring strokes, and are the perfect shape for little hands to hold.
Coming soon is a first in the activity/craft industry, the Wet-Erase™ Eco Coloring Kit. It comes with 4 Wet-Erase™ crayons that easily wipe off the special eco-friendly stone paper with a damp cloth. The kit also comes with 3 stone paper coloring mats that a child can color over and over again. Everything stores neatly inside the case that is made from recycled bottles.
When Laura designed the Endangered Species product line, she wanted to utilize the most premiere eco-friendly materials available in the market today. The preservation of the planet’s resources and threatened wildlife is one of her core values along with educating the youth of today on same.
