Enfield is located in Southeastern Illinois. It is a farming community in White County with a population of around 600. The closest public library is about 10 miles away. In order to increase literacy awareness within the Enfield community, Booth Elementary School Book Club, The Booth Bookies, established a Little Free Library. This will provide easy and simple access to books for children, teens and adults.
There is an abundant amount of research and data that could be shared about the importance of literacy, but it's simple: reading is the foundation for everything.
Grab a book from the library then sit back, relax, and read!
