We had a special surprise. A Native tribe was having a ceremony when we arrived. We were told that it was the first native ceremony on that land in 200 years. It was very interesting and educational.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Beautiful part of the island that is a must see! Learned some great American history and my son earned a junior ranger badge. Parking is plentiful and a short walk to the visitor center. Rangers were super nice and helpful. The 12 mins video in the visitor center was a great presentation of the history of English camp.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Great little park, really cool history, The buildings are well preserved, The English garden is perfect. Great place to spend the afternoon with your kids.
English Camp is a worthwhile stop. There are hiking trails, vistas and remaining buildings from the English military encampment. The vistas to the bay and the sculptured gardens come in to view after you hike in from the parking lot.
Very lush space, nice hiking trails with some elevation gain. One of the trails gains over 600 ft in around a mile of length. Get your legs moving and heart pumping. Beautiful views of San Juan Island and some of the waterways. Nice views of distant mountains on clear days.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
This place is open all year round, but from May to September the museum is open and you can watch a movie about the war of pigs and this place. I recommend, very interesting!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Not a huge history buff but the staff here was really knowledgeable and happy to share the information they knew about the place.
I love stopping here while visiting SJI. the English camp is far more interesting and has more buildings/seems like more was going on at English camp way back when.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Beautiful park for hiking and seeing the Camp and remaining structures. The garden is beautiful!
Beautiful preserved and enlightening historical park! The trails were well kept and neat. Aside from hiking, there is also a stunning formal garden and a blockhouse! It's pretty cool to see the houses across the bay, and the tree-covered Guss Island!
