Nestled into one of the most scenic areas in East Tennessee is English Mountain Trout Farm & Grill. Come spend some time with us and catch a few rainbow trout in our pond, then kick back and relax while we cook them up for you!

Enjoy dining inside, or on the patio overhanging the creek or any of the tables located around the trout pond. The entire setting creates a very unique and relaxing dining experience. Our trout pond is constantly fed by a fresh water creek creating the perfect environment for raising big, strong trout that are as tasty as it gets. So pack up the whole family and come visit us for a great time and a great meal. We are open 6 days a week for lunch & supper. (Call for seasonal hours)

We had good family fun today with these folks. The wife and kids loved the experience so we'll definitely visit again. The whole idea of catching your lunch and having it cooked fresh is too cool. I personally tasted the fish all three ways they cook it and they were great but the lemon pepper is the best. Thanks for a good day, we'll definitely see yall again!
Catching the your was fun. We caught 5 in 3 or 4 minutes. They cook them for you fresh in several different ways. First time we ate trout and the way they cook and serve it is outstanding. The service was unbelievable. Everyone was so nice and helpful. They all went out of there way to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Will definitely go back and recommend anyone in the area go.
My family had a wonderful time here! The kids each caught a fish and the smiles on their faces was worth it all! We ordered one of each: lemon pepper, blackened and one fried. They were all delicious but our favorite was the lemon pepper!! Staff was so kind and helpful as well! We just sat at a picnic table and watched the fish while waiting for our food. Was a great experience!
This place was an absolute treat that we will absolutely come back to next time we are up this way! If you're reading the lower star reviews let me tell you it's all lies! The staff and owner were very nice the experience of catching your own fish was great. If you're looking for a picnic in a pristine park this isn't it but do not let that run you away because the food and memories make way up for that. The place could be jazzed up a touch but once again never judge a book by its cover because you're missing out tremendously.. I would most definitely recommend this place 10-10 to any and I mean anyone I meet! My family loved every minute of being there.
My family and I absolutely loved this place! The owners are the sweetest down to earth people! We enjoyed fishing and feeding the fish . We also loved eating our freshly caught meal
If you had visited English Mountain Trout Farm in the past and decided to go back and visit, the first thing you will notice is how much more busy they have become. If you plan for this it will help make your visit more enjoyable. We had to wait for about 20 minutes for our turn to use fishing poles. But after that my kids had a blast catching their dinner. The staff were super friendly and the food was great!
We have been wanting to do this place for the last several years, but never seemed to have time to work it into our vacation schedule. Finally went for lunch today. They have a small pond where the "kids" can catch their own, or you can just oder off the menu. We went for the Trout, but we were told they had some great fresh river raised catfish, so we chose the catfish. No doubt the freshest best catfish that we have ever had. Sides were just OK. Prices are a little on the high side. It's worth the drive out while staying around Pigeon Forge.
Take a break during your vacation and check this place out. Fish for your trout and wait while they cook it for you. Fried, lemon pepper or blackened. Certainly not a fancy spot, but the food is yummy, and the people are super friendly. They teased my 21 year old when it was taking him a little while to catch his fish Cash only but ATM on site. You fish with a basic bamboo pole. Fun way to spend some time with my grown-up kids, but lots of little kids were fishing. Not a fish fan? They also have chicken.
Our son was the one who found this place and wanted it included in our vacation time. He is big on fishing! He caught his one for him and the rest of us ordered and ate the market fresh fish. The food is absolutely delicious! The whole experience is definitely one for some fun family time!
This was a really neat experience for our family. First time my 6yr old goes “fishing” I loved the controlled experience. So it was $5 to fish and an additional fee for a bucket. You are given a rod with bait. Then you fish. Once you catch a fish there is an employee ready to grab it with a net, hands, and unhook it. They’ll put it in the bucket and when you’re done fishing they’ll take it to the cooks to clean and cook. They do charge by the pound and each meal comes with a side. The meal fee I can’t remember so call in advance. Also this place is CASH only. There was an atm there but it was broken. *warning* keep your eyes open this is a snake prone location. Fortunately for us the snake was only interested in the fish. It was a poisonous snake.
