I needed a rental for the day so I reserved a car from the Port Jefferson branch. It was very easy to do on line and I also received a call to confirm. I arrived in the morning and was greeted by a very nice young lady Alexis. She was exceptional very personable and professional. She reviewed everything with me and also told me I was being upgraded. This was by far one of the best experiences I have had anywhere. There was no pressure she just let me know what my options were and made a few recomendations that would benefit me. Thank you again Alexis for a great experience.
Prior to my arrival to this Enterprise location I received a booking confirmation phone call a full day before my appointment. I informed the person I spoke to that I was a Gold member and that Enterprise periodically sent me upgrade coupons to use to get a full size vehicle at the cost of a compact.He told me no problem they could honor that coupon and upgrade me at no additional cost. When I arrived the person told me they had no full size and he would go get one. He never came back. After waiting 15 minutes another person informed me they could not honor my upgrade coupon because they had no cars. He tried to offer me a compact car that had not been cleaned and the interior was filthy. The car should have been retired a long time ago and was laughable as a representation of a Enterprise vehicle. I have been a customer for many years and never has any location tried to put me in a vehicle that was way beyond its lifespan as a rental. The person offered to clean the interior but it should have been cleaned prior to my arrival. Why confirm a reservation and not have a car ready. I told him I have already been waiting and I was not waiting for them to clean this vehicle with the filthy stained interior. At this point I was so frustrated with the two under trained employees I was forced to deal with and asked for a manager. I should not have had to ask to deal with a manager. The two employees I interacted with prior should have been able to accommodate me as a customer.They should know their inventory and got me on my way with a acceptable vehicle. I was happy to deal with a friendly professional manager who was able to get me in a clean mini van honor my upgrade coupon and have me on my way rather quickly. This location needs to train its staff better. As for the manager I unfortunately forgot her name but she saved the sale because I was prepared to Uber back to the airport and rent a vehicle there.
They pick the phone. They call you back if they said they will. They are respectful, professional and have the best service in the industry. I live in Port Jefferson and rented with this branch several times. I rented cargo van before and currently in a rental through my insurance company. The best place to rent around Port Jefferson. 100 % recommend it.

This is my go to car rental store. The staff is enthusiastic, helpful, and obviously, well trained. The rates are reasonable, whether an insurance rental, or pleasure rental. Been doing business here for many years.

Big applause to Enterprise Rentals in Port Jeff Station, NY. I will start off by my experience with Matt. I had dropped my car off at Station Auto Body, my daughter came to pick me. My reservation for a car was at 10:30 am. My daughter works overnite as a dispatcher for a local Fire Dept. She is 9 months pregnant, sitting waiting for her I called Enterprise to see if they could accommodate me at 8:30am. Since she need to go to sleep. Matt & staff said yes, that was a Great help for me. Everything went well & received a follow up call the next day to make sure the truck was good. My truck is fixed, 2 cars I have and don’t know how to return the rental. They said leave it at the body shop we will pick it up.. I did take a picture of the dash for mileage & gas. They explained rental stopped at the time I called. They explained everything and said I will be receiving a email with all information.. this team needs to be recognized for all the positive work they did for me. Thanks so much with a smooth transition.
Very nice people who do their best, BUT: It is not always "we pick you up!" and there is, lately, a lot of waiting while the clean or prepare the rental vehicle. I used to get in and out, and now there are 30-60 minutes delays - sitting around their office! I hope it gets better again. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable, it just seems like an operational or management issue that the timing of availability is now out of whack...
I made a reservation and they had no cars available. The lobby was full of people waiting for cars to be cleaned. Then a young lady returned her car cause it smelled like cigarettes. Asking customers for good customer reviews is super tacky when you suck ! Friendly kids that work there. But get it together.
