I rented a car from this location about a month ago with no problems. Today my wife rented a car and in the process the person that was working was very pushy about add-ons. Repeatedly tried to stress she should get the additional insurance "in case the car breaks down. You'll be stuck on the side of the road.", was pushy about preparing for gas and generally rude. She also had to provide our car insurance information which I never had to do. Service was so bad she even asked if it was a personal problem he had with her. When she returned later to put my son in law on as a authorized driver the hard sell and misogyny disappeared. Very disappointed and angry that my wife was treated like a ignorant child because she is a woman. Shameful. In the future we will forego the convenience and find a alternative to this Enterprise.
Car was clean and service was fast and friendly. Had a few cars to pick from instead of just one.
These folks worked with the local office to facilitate fixing an issue I had.Their professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated!
One of the smoothest experience with cordial staff and very good car options available
I have used Enterprise Car rental for all my Travels. I have never had one issue. Everything from start of my reservation to the Return of my Rental car has been Perfect. The Staff at the airport are Amazing. They get you in and out quickly. Thank You
This past week I rented cars through enterprise in two different cities. I have been a long time dedicated enterprise member because of their “previous” stellar performance in all areas. This time however, has made me consider other rental companies. In both cases the cars I rented were dirty, inside and out, and did not have full tanks of gas. The first car I rented had been heavily smoked in and when I went back to the counter to complain and get a different car I was informed there were non available. The second care was dirty, had lots of chips in the paint and was much higher mileage than I’ve ever seen on an enterprise rental. It was more like renting from Rent-a-Wreck. Very disappointing experience.
Staff was great. We were in and out in about 5 mins and they had the car we reserved, which these days can be a problem. Enterprise always takes good care of us.
Do not rent from Enterprise!!! My husband was stranded in Kingsport, TN and we called and made him a reservation and the price was already double what it normally should be. They were supposed to pick him up the next morning. But the next morning the office told him they had 13 customers with reservations and only 5 cars and that they had no way of getting cars to the people wuth reservations. So my husband had to go to Tri Cities airport and pay $25 for a taxi to get there only to have the privilege of getting to pay an extra $35 more than he was originally quoted because taxes at the airport were $32 more than anywhere else. Plus before that happened we were told by the reservation center that they would fix it, that a manager would call him within the hour to pull a car from another location so he wouldn't have to pay out of pocket to go to the airport. That call never happened and that was almost a week ago. And now they won't refund me any of the extra money we had to pay out of pocket for their mistakes. We had to pay $56 more dollars than we were originally quoted in our reservation agreement that Enterprise NEVER HONORED! And no one will transfer me to a manager or supervisor who can fix this problem over the 1800 number. And the branch managers basically said they couldn't refund the difference of what we were quoted. I'm getting a complete runaround even almost a week later. Take my advice and go to their competitors instead. The Better Business Bureau will be contacted next if Enterprise continues not to resolve this issue. The Kingsport employee told us people can make reservations all day long with Enterprise...but that doesn't mean they have the cars available.
I reserved a car online a month in advance and went to pick up vehicle. Was told that only one car was available and it was not what I had originally requested. I had to upgrade to the next level and pay an additional fee to get a vehicle comparable to what I had requested. The vehicle was nice but not completely clean inside. There was trash stuck down beside the console and smelled like someone had smoked in the vehicle. The customer service was OK but didn't seem overly concerned about any of the issues. I had a concern that there were pieces of plastic that appeared to have come off of the front bumper left in the truck when I picked up the vehicle and I called to report this. I could not get anyone to answer after about 3 tries so I left a message to have someone return my call. Never happened.
We were told that we had a choice of a Mitsubishi Eclipse or Jeep Cherokee. Driving in the NC mountains, we selected the Jeep. Our flight was two hours late getting into TRI Cities Airport, so we were in a hurry to get into the rental car. Once we got in the car, the smell of cigarette smoke was very bad. My wife has respiratory issues. Since we were running so late, we put up with the smell. When we returned the car to the Enterprise desk I told them what happened. And what he said to us was astounding! "You should have told us that the car smelled and we would have put you in another car". There was no other car! Just a small Eclipse for mountain driving. Hint: Enterprise should have taken that car out of service and not let the next person rent it!! I got a half baked apology and no offer to give us any type of credit. Enterprise is better than this. Sorry, but I will go elsewhere from now on.
