Needed a car for an upcoming trip. I made the reservation online, and everything went smooth. Upon arrival, check-in was fast and everything setup fine. We were in and out fast, and the customer service was great. The only downside was that the car had a strong marijuana smell. I mentioned it and the rep had it sprayed with air freshener. The odor was not completely gone, and on our trip it became annoying. Other than this, everything was great.
I've rented many cars over the years, but Enterprise Dover De was the easiest, friendliest pain-free rental experience I have ever had! From JR, who greeted me with a smile despite the waiting room being super busy. JR got me in and out fast and even notated a small issue on the car that I had not noticed. Cole made returning the rental a "breeze," and Michael helped me over the telephone in locating my paid receipt confirmation.  Top-notch customer service is hard to find these days, but JR, Cole, and Michael provide it with ease at Dover De. Enterprise Cars!
The rental experience I had last week was not satisfying. The first car they gave me had cigarette holes in the driver seat & smelled like smoke. So awful, so I took it back & exchanged it for another car, still wasn’t too satisfying but it was doable. The car had dirt stains in the seats and it looked like someone was trying to pull the carpet up in the front passenger floor. Hopefully my experience next time will be a lot better than this last go around because for as long as I been a gold member, I’ve never had a rentals this bad!!!
The entire process was smooth and hassle-free, and I felt like my needs were truly being prioritized. However, while the customer service was superb, I did notice that the car itself could have been cleaner. The windows were quite dirty, which made it hard to fully appreciate the car's features and design. While this was a minor issue that didn't detract from my overall experience with the company, it is something that could be improved upon in the future. Overall, I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a positive and stress-free car-rental experience.The exceptional customer service more than makes up for any minor shortcomings. I would have to say that the team at the Bay Road Dover center were excellent. I have a reservation from March 2023 for a 15 passengers van for my trip scheduled in July. When my pickup date came up it was brought to my attention that the vehicle type I needed to rent was not available, but the team made it a point to make me aware and accommodate mw with the next best option available for my rental needs. They made sure to have the vehicle available for the same pickup up time as normal. While on vacation I was searching for another enterprise location where I was vacationing for a 15 passenger and I contacted the store in Dover store and they would be willing to allow me to swap my vehicle if possible. Unfortunately I was not able to find the vehicle I had originally needed, but my vacation still goes on. Once I returned home and returned the vehicle I expressed my issues with the team and immediately they apologized for the inconvenience not having my original vehicle may have caused. They team worked with me and provided me with excellent service to figure out what they could do to make up for the experience I had. And I want to say Thank You because anyone else would have just said hey sorry, we did our best and there is nothing more I could do. We talked and discussed what could make my experience better and they were willing to provide compensation for the inconvenience I experienced. I recommend the Bay Rd Dover De enterprise location to anyone who needs rental services. They will always work with you and make sure your needs and issues are addressed immediately. Thank You again Enterprise, I’ll be back to rent again soon.
The location is convenient so that's two stars on it's own. Missing a fifth star because not all agents are customer friendly. A customer should be treated well regardless of how old you think they are. Also they need to be much better with cleaningthe vehicles between rentals, spraying water across the outside is not cleaning. If those parts of the service improves, my rating will also.
The service was great but the car was very dusty/dirty and smelled. I think it had maybe just not been used in a while. Definitely should have been refreshed before I got into it.
The car was only about 3/4 full when I received it. It also smelled of marijuana that persisted throughout the time I rented it. I did enjoy the staff. They were very fast and helpful.
This establishment provides quick service. The inventory for size of car request is adequate and the cars are clean. Shuttle service is available when you drop off the car.
Charged for existing defect. My wife needed a vehicle to use in the interim of her vehicle being fixed in the shop, which she returned today. She rented a newer white jeep through Enterprise in Dover. During the release and paperwork, the vehicle was brought out wet as if it was freshly washed with streams of water still running down it. Because of that, a crack was missed in the windshield when she signed for it. One of the staff members held the clipboard and did the itemized inspection ahead of her. Now she's being charged for the crack. There's no indicator for it being intentionally missed. But we're very unhappy today.
