PreReserved a Midsize SUV in CT, called to confirm reservation a few days before, go to get the car and head-out….they DONT HAVE a SUV. They offer us a little blue box car like an element or a mustang convertible. Now, an upgrade to a convertible would normally be great but not for 4 adults and bags in the WINTER! Was told oh you can trade it in Avon or Waterbury-No that was YOUR JOB to do before I arrived! Oh mustang convertibles are very uncomfortable rides but the power was nice…finally had a chance to trade it out when we got to TN where they were super and got us the right size vehicle.
I recently rented a car from the Torrington enterprise branch and had the pleasure of meeting Ben and Andres, two friendly and professional individuals. Ben was very kind, and worked with me on several issues that came up during the rental period. His flexibility made my life significantly easier during a busy and stressful week, and Andres' positive can-do attitude brought some much needed good energy to my day. 5/5 experience. Thanks Ben and Andres!
The staff at Torrington Enterprise are fantastic! Mike Graff, Ben Gilliam, and MOST especially Richy Rodriguez are complete gentlemen. They took incredible care of me after a car accident for which I needed a one month rental. Not only did they provide me with expedited service, but they were very concerned about my safety and took care of everything directly with my insurance company so that all I needed to do was just grab the keys and go. Richy was extremely polite and thoughtful, and made the process as smooth as possible. He turned a stressful event into an easy, pleasant, and positive experience. These guys are the epitome of CUSTOMER SERVICE in a day and age when we just don’t see much of that anymore. My gratitude to these gentleman. A+
My vehicle had to be towed last evening to a mechanic for unplanned repairs and it would be unknown when my vehicle may be available. I hopped on the Enterprise Rental website and reserved a car for the next morning. When I showed up I was told they didn't have any vehicles available for two days, nor were any available in surrounding Enterprise locations. How does the website not reflect or capture when no vehicles are planned to be on site and available? Now I have no vehicle for for a minimum of 2 days and perhaps longer as well as lost income. Poor practices.
Impressive stock of modern cars. Personable agents and fair prices. Drop-off for keys after hours. Small shared parking lot for returning vehicles. The agency offers pick-ups and drop-offs to and from those dealerships in Torrington which work with Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Pleasant waiting area with water cooler.
Everything is great in person. The staff is good. But when you call the place no matter what time of the day they don't answer the phone. I've literally stood outside of there and called while there were several employees there and still was placed on hold and there was no answer. There's basically no way to call the local branch. So I don't know if it's an issue with corporate headquarters or the local branch. But it needs to be fixed
I originally gave a 5 star review after being rear ended in an accident 4months ago I had many questions but it was made out to be an easy process. The lady on site in Torrington was fantastic but the location was far understaffed and had little to no vehicles on site. I am now receiving invoices months later, that I owe $300+ on top of my security deposit being kept. I was pressured into buying enterprises insurance option, like it was needed to leave with the vehicle that day. I agreed to pay for a week while the at fault insurance company figured out coverage on their end. I ended up having the vehicle for almost 2 months, apparently now I am being charged 2 months worth of enterprise insurance coverage even though I never agreed to it and come to find out it’s was optional I never even had to pay for the first week.I have my own insurance I could of upgraded to cover rental insurance . I have reached out to corporate enterprise and it has been a joke, there is no one to talk to there is no direct contacts. I had personally rented vehicles in the past with no issues, when it came down to my personal vehicle being totaled at the fault of someone else enterprise was the worst experience and now has left me with debt……………updating review to say enterprise responded to this review asking me to contact the care email address, before posting this review I had contacted the customer care email multiple times with all the information they have asked for, being told I will be contacted soon. I has been 33 days and I have contacted 4 different times.
Vehicle rented today had the service engine light on. Wanted to give me a smaller rental for the replacement not a better vehicle. Disappointing customer service. I will not return!
Staff was horrible and disrespectful at the Torrington enterprise, we had a whole reservation for a car that they said was being held for use, had everything set up with insurance, and they gave the car out the day we came to pick it up, some goofys over there
Well I rented a minivan here. The experience getting the van was great. When i returned it, i returned it with the right amount of gas and I was still charged $30. I called and I was told the manawould get back to me, i never received a call back about the situation. I have also been charged 3 times now about once a week for tolls. That is ridiculously annoying!!! Its an experience that keeps on giving!
