It's the worst rental company I've ever used. I had to use enterprise to rent a truck since mine was totaled in an accident. The first one I got had body damage, which is fine since it's a rental, but it also had transmission issues and would slip while I drove it. This truck had around 60k miles. Not to mention, they didn't have a truck available even though I scheduled an appointment a week prior. That Friday, they wanted the truck back to sell it even though I needed it, so I got put in another truck. This one was filthy inside. It was missing floor mats, had cigarette burns in the seat, and there was a large white stain in the front middle seat, and there was white dog hair all over the upholstery. The ironic part was that there was a pamphlet about how they sterilize the vehicles and being clean and safe. Finally the insurance company stopped paying for the truck while we still needed it. The insurance payed $55 a day, then enterprise wanted to charge us $140 a day for a truck that can't do basic truck stuff. It's 2 wheel drive, has a tiny bed, no running boards, and no trailer hitch. My final gripe is that when you call them it goes to an automated portal which is a waste of time and they hardly ever answer. If you need a vehicle go any where else besides enterprise. I've had so much better experience with budget, hertz, uhaul, and many more companies.
I rented from the Alabaster location a couple of weeks ago for a business trip. Ms. Rutledge greeted me with a smile and was very kind and professional. She is very knowledgeable and personable. You can tell she loves what she does. It was busy that day, but I never felt ignored and she kept me updated about the status of my vehicle. Upon my return, Blake greeted me with a smile and great energy. He asked me about my trip and made conversation as he was inspecting the vehicle. He even found my water bottle that had rolled underneath the seat. He was also very knowledgeable and personable. He was a breath of fresh air after a long drive home. Both Ms. Rutledge and Blake have a knack for customer service! Alabaster is my new favorite location!
Enterprise was supposed to pick me up at the car dealership at 9 am at the start of my body work. A no show. I tried to call a couple of times - got hung up on first time, no answer the 2nd time. So I asked a kind salesman to run me over to Enterprise. When I mentioned this to the staff, there was just an "Oh. Sorry." Once inside the office, however, the staff was warm and friendly.
Alex at the Alabaster location is hands down one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had at any business ever. Had an 8 am pickup during a holiday weekend and even with 3 people ahead of me I was out the door in 15 minutes. The car I had rented needed an oil change so she upgraded me for free to a brand new Mazda SUV. Even adjusted the return day to accommodate around the 4th of July Holiday hours and cut my total cost significantly. Next time I need a rental I will 100% go back to this location and request Alex.
Staff that is there is great, however they need more staff. Monday's a super busy and they never have enough help, some Monday's they only have 1 person and there is a lobby full. Overall great location and good service. The team that is there is awesome.
The staff was nice but the car was another story. I was told it had a musty smell and they did not want to rent it to me because of this. The problem was, the car they wanted to give me was not on site. I would have to wait for it to be delivered and then cleaned. 40 minutes later, I asked to smell the "musty" car. It was bad but I was on a schedule and could not wait any longer. "Musty" is, I guess, a polite term for weed smoke? It was obvious. Anyway, it was one day so I inhaled and enjoyed the ride. They did reduce the rental rate. Nice staff but definitely need better cars.
I made an appointment to be picked up at a body shop 2.6 miles down the road. The appointment was at 9:15, I called at 9:16 and they told me someone was on the way. It is now 9:35 and no one has shown up yet.
Thank you for your patience with a very stressed mother of the bride in securing transportation for our guest. Especially Aaliyah Ross for making it all happen even with a crazy customer. Your service was impeccable.
I really, really ,really want to brag on Andy. He is amazing! I was told by my grandmother today rented the grayish Kia Optima who also encountered/spoke with him that he was so nice. He deserves more than recognition for his customer service! I haven’t even returned my vehicle yet but definitely a great location to visit because of him. He will take very good care of you!
Really dislike using this location. They make it more difficult than it needs to be. They should strive to be more like airport rental services where you can grab the keys and go. Or drop the keys and go when dropping off. Do not come here if you are in a hurry. Minimum you will spend here is 30min. They will also take a reservation online but then call you later to say they don't have any vehicles available. They also say the car is ready but they don't actually start getting it ready until you arrive.
