ER Now is the ONLY locally owned and operated Independent Emergency Room in coming to Wichita Falls, Texas! We are a FULL SERVICE Emergency Room that is owned, operated, and staffed by LOCAL West Texans!! We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are staffed by Board Certified Physicians! We have an onsite laboratory which can do all necessary emergent labs with the longest results taking just 15 minutes! We have a fully digital X-Ray Machine, a state of the art Ultrasound, and a CT Scan that can do any emergency study flawlessly!
Are you in my network? My employer told me I can not go to ER Now? You ALWAYS have a choice for Emergency Care regardless of network status. Per TEXAS law, we bill your Insurance as In Network, we collect In Network copays, REGARDLESS of the network status of your insurance company! We do not 'balance bill' and only charge the allowable amount by your insurance company.
Do you take Medicaid or Medicare? Unfortunately, independent Emergency Rooms were created in Texas (over 170 now across the state) so Medicare and Medicaid does not recognize the facilities yet. Therefore, we CANNOT take Medicaid or Medicare. This is not by our choice, this is per the federal government. We actively are working with national legislatures to change this!
It sounds like ER Now is just a glorified Urgent Care that costs more. Is that true? ER Now is a full service Emergency Room staffed by the true experts in Emergency Medical Care. We can see, treat, and disposition ANY illness or trauma. Nothing is beyond our capability. We can see and treat anything that the standard hospital based ER can but we do it with extreme efficiency.
I heard there are some other independent ERs in town, what makes you different? We are owned, operated, and staffed solely by West Texans. We are not a large corporate entity, we are home grown just like the other local businesses Wichita Falls your family has supported for years!
Can I call ahead for an appointment? How long is the wait? At ER Now, we have a NO WAIT POLICY. We are a full service Emergency Room so we take walk in patients only. We strive to have little to no wait and to get you in front of a doctor in 10 minutes or less.
I heard if you have a 'real emergency' ER Now would just dial 911 and have an ambulance take the patient to a 'real ER'? ER Now is a 'Real ER' and we can treat and stabilize ANY Emergency. We take care of broken bones daily, abdominal complaints requiring surgery, seizures, even things like meningitis and cracked skulls! There is nothing we cannot see, treat, or stabilize!
So what if I need surgery or to be admitted? In these cases, network status matters. First we ask your hospital preferences and verify you will be in network with that hospital. We then will call the specialist you need and then direct admit you to the floor or operating room!
