Dr. Bornstein helped my husband and me with an emergency we had regarding our baby during my first trimester, and took us in last minute. He was extremely calm and handled our situation with such grace and care. We cannot wait to go back for a follow up. He is truly special and extremely sharp!
Dr. Bornstein is an excellent doctor, and is dedicated to helping his patients as much as he can. He is very knowledgeable about high risk pregnancies. I highly recommend him.
Dr Bornstein is by far the best Doctor. I was lucky enough to have him take care of me and my baby. He is a superb clinician and has the best bedside manners. I trusted him implicitly with my health as he guided me with my high risk pregnancy.
I echo Carol's sentiment--Dr. Bornstein is one of the best physicians I've ever met. A member of the team of doctors who performed a surgical procedure on me in November of 2006, his was the first face that I saw when I woke in the hospital room after the procdure. He told me that I was amazing and marveled at how I'd endured my condition for such a long time. I will forever remember that encounter and his role in putting me on the path to a life that no longer includes severe discomfort. Bless you, Dr. Bornstein.
Dr. Bornstein is one of the best Physicians I have ever met. At first I assumed that he was a stern and a "quick to the point" type of physician. I didn't expect to encounter such a warm personality. He was empathetic, transparent, detailed, and very patient with my 101 questions. This department is very busy, and I never felt that Dr. Bornstein rushed any of the visits or made me feel like a burden when I needed more of his time. This is rare to see in such a high volume practice. I am so impressed with his commitment to providing such a high standard of care. During my third trimester, Dr. Bornstein identified that my baby had a possible case of craniosynostosis. This is a birth defect in which the bones in a baby's skull join together too early. If left untreated, craniosynostosis can lead to complications, including: head deformity and increased pressure on the brain. It turned out my baby had sagittal craniosynostosis, which was confirmed after birth. Due to Dr. Bornstein's proactiveness and attention to detail, I had the time to research pediatric neurosurgeons while I was still pregnant. Usually these cranio conditions are not identified until weeks and usually more often months after a baby is born. Sometimes if diagnosed too late, the surgery is much more invasive vs a more simple endoscopic procedure. To give more context, a few members of the neurosurgery team at Cornell were impressed that Dr. Bornstein and the ultrasound technician identified a possible cranio during gestation. One of the surgeons explained that it is very rare for a preliminary cranio diagnosis to be identified before a baby is even born. Dr. Bornstein could not confirm it was a cranio 100% but the ultrasound images and his observations concluded it was a high probability. I was so devastated to learn that I had to possibly prepare my baby for a surgery but Dr. Bornstein was so kind and reassuring. He gave me time to process information, which really prepared me to research potential surgeons. On my due date, he also found another complication that's usually a mild condition and not too much of a concern but for me it turned out to be a very severe case. He took all the right steps to prepare me for possible scenarios, calmed me down, and primed my delivering OB for possible mitigations. Thank you Dr. Bornstein, you are so great at what you do! Your expertise, patience, and kindness were integral to my child bearing experience. I also want to thank the two ultrasound technicians for their attention to detail, I wish I remembered their names. Your team is very talented and experienced. Lenox Hill should be proud, I hope that your team continues to get the well deserved credit for your leadership and the department's dedication to excellent patient care."
I went to dr Bornstein for my second pregnancy ultrasound monitoring. The facility is clean and modern compared to others. But most important is that you don’t feel rushed or just a number. He is taking his time to answer questions and to explain. He is just a breath of fresh air in the hustle and bustle of the NYC. The staff is amazing and can’t be otherwise. If the work environment is great and calm everyone is happy. I remember one time the ultrasound tech could not see my baby’s heart and after 45 minutes she called dr Bornstein and he stepped in and finished the exam. That impressed me because I knew how busy he is but took his time to make sure everything was ok. I highly recommend his practice.
I am very grateful for everything that Dr. Eran did it for me. I will never forget. I came from Brazil to deal with him. Simply an excellent doctor and human being.
The best doctor I’ve ever met
