Eric is a gifted, patient and kind educator who is passionate about music. This passion translates well into an accessible, fun, engaging teaching style that my 10 year old daughter was highly receptive of. His approach is multi-faceted and never boring or hyper-repetitive. My daughter and I highly recommend Eric's Piano School!
Eric has been teaching my two children ages 7 and 8 for the past three years. He is a very kind yet effective teacher. They enjoy seeing him each week and he keeps the lessons fun and engaging with various piano based games at the end of lessons. The piano recitals are the icing on the cake as my children really look forward to them. This is a huge motivator for them to practice. The recitals are very fun and always include goodie bags and one time even piano medals. It is also very inspiring to see some of Eric’s other students who are older and very talented as well as Eric himself perform, who plays the piano so beautifully. Even when not thrilled about practicing at times my kids confidence has really grown after mastering difficult songs. Eric also has them chose some of their music sometimes even compiling it himself when the original is too advanced so that they are motivated to play popular music for friends and therefore motivated to practice. We recommend Eric to all friends and family and feel so lucky to have him as our children’s piano teacher and as a positive role model in their lives.
Our 8-year-old son started his very first piano lessons with Eric; and he always loved coming to the lessons. Eric is patient and caters to my child’s specific interest. His take-home notes/lessons are very useful. Highly recommended.
We couldn't be happier with Eric's Piano School! Our daughter was 4, going on 5, and has always loved music, so we decided to see if she would be interested in piano. She is normally very shy and unsure of herself when trying new things, so we weren't quite sure how it would go, especially considering how young she is. When I sent in the online inquiry, Eric called me back immediately and spent 20-30 min with me on the phone getting to know more about our daughter, our expectations, and how the lessons typically go. We opted for having someone come to our home, so Eric recommended his instructor Kelly, who has been AMAZING. Kelly is so incredibly kind, patient, but most of all makes piano actually fun for our daughter while actually teaching her how to play. Honestly, I had had zero expectations that a five year old would learn to read sheet music, but somehow Kelly is making it happen and my daughter is having so much fun! My daughter looks forward to Mondays now simply because of piano with Ms.Kelly! It's been so wonderful to see my daughter focused, excited, and having fun all at once. If you are going to do piano lessons for your little ones, this is 100% the place to go.
My 4 yr old son has been taking lessons from Mr. Eric for a few months now and is really enjoying it! Mr. Eric goes beyond just teaching the piano. He really connects with my son and has an amazing way of making learning fun and engaging, especially for young children. He uses new technology and techniques like teaching young children to read music using color; and I’m impressed with how quickly my son learns a new melody with him each session in only a 15 minute lesson. I really look forward to seeing my son learn and progress under Mr. Eric’s instruction. You can tell the piano is Mr. Eric’s passion as well as teaching kids. Hire him!! He’s the best!
What a stellar piano teacher Eric is!! Eric connected with our kiddo and brought the joy of music to each lesson with his creative, fun style that is so refreshing from the rigid ways of my bygone days. Because I could not be present for lessons, Eric took the initiative to summarize the lesson and give guidance for the week. I appreciated Eric always being open to dialogue with the shared goal of providing a wonderful, supportive environment. Thank you, Eric!!
Eric is an incredible piano teacher with an amazing ability to connect with students and inspire them to learn! He provides a great mix of music and really listens to the kids so he can understand what they’re interested in learning. He is kind, compassionate, and gifted as both a teacher and musician. My kids always say piano is one of the highlights of their week! His recitals are welcoming to all abilities and a joy to attend.
Went in to this with high hopes for our 8 year old son, let's call him Sky. He's been taking drum lessons since he was 4, so learning music and taking instruction are not new. The first two lessons were great. After that, it became too much about quizzing him, instead of playing and falling in love with it. The teacher would ask him questions and he would sit there quiet, trying to guess the answers.. Lessons no longer became fun or even productive. Sky's teacher was a 19 year old quiet college student. She was very sweet but I think Sky would benefited from an older more experienced teacher. We ended up being charged for I think 11 weeks worth, but we only used at most 6 lessons. Eric wouldn't compromise with us and seemed to only care about the money. I think Eric's school is for people who just want very straightforward instruction, with quizzes and standard guidelines/benchmarks. For a more personably expressive learning experience on the other hand.. School Of Rock is a better fit for us. Boooooo Eric. YaaaaaaY SchoolOfRock!
Eric is one of the best Piano teacher out there! I had no expectations when my son started lessons when he was 6 years old. Eric is friendly, welcoming and fun for younger players. Andrew has steadily progressed with once a week lessons, and he's learn a wide range of songs from classics to fun music and even tunes of Andrew's video games to make the learnings fun! Recitals were also big hits for all the parents. I highly recommend Eric, a passionate pianist!
During Covid, we needed a way to provide our daughter, Katy, quality piano lessons. But at the time, very few instructors were online. We felt blessed to have found Eric’s Piano School as Eric himself was already transitioned to online lessons. We were instantly plugged in with essentially private in-home teaching. While this was super convenient with our busy work schedules, we got more than we expected. Eric’s style is encouraging and fun. He is also quite skilled. He hosts recitals 2-3 times per year to allow those who want to showcase what they have learned. And he teaches at all skill levels. In fact, I was so impressed, that even I became a student of Eric’s myself to help correct old habits and to learn a few new ones. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? All in all, as parents, my wife and I are thrilled that Katy has taken to piano and we are super pleased with her growth over these past 18 months- despite the rolled eyes every time we remind her to practice. We highly endorse Eric and his school. Charlie and Becky Winn
