It is also the home of Lending Hands for Life, one of the city’s oldest and largest comprehensive treatment programs for HIV/AIDS. You can come to our Humboldt Park health center for everything from free pregnancy tests and school physicals to cholesterol checks and diabetes management. We even offer counseling services to help you deal with family problems or emotional issues."

Echoing the hardships this place adds. If you want to be seen quick, fill out a job application, you'll get hired faster than you'd be able to book a medical appointment. Not joking.
2 horrible things about this place 1. To make an appointment you have to wait 40 minutes !! Secondly, medical assistants are always rush you and are rude to you no matter the reason !!! Health care is stressful I get it but you know what you’re getting yourself into by going into the field !! Don’t just be rude to everyone because you’re stressed!! They wanted me to basically go without a prenatal appointment at 35 weeks pregnant, when I asked if I could go to another location and if she could check if they all had openings, the girl on the phone gave me such a bad attitude and blamed on the fact they are short, we are all short staffed somewhere that’s no excuse for the attitude !! They need better training.
If you’ve got 4 hours to kill and enjoy spending time in waiting rooms while being lied to and never actually seen, this is the place for you. My wife showed up at 11:30 for her 11:45 ultrasound appointment - something that should take 20-30 minutes. She was told the doctor was running late and he would be there in 45 minutes. Every 30-45 minutes the next 4 hours she was told he would be another 45 minutes late. Finally at 3:45 she asked if he was actually coming. The woman at reception said “oh, he called about a half hour ago and cancelled the appointment.” The staff couldn’t even be bothered to find my wife in the waiting room to tell her they’d just wasted 4 hours of her time. They just let her sit there knowing the appointment that was already 3.5 hours late was now cancelled. Thankfully the staff was rude the entire time which really helped round out the day she spent at the Erie Humbolt Park Health Clinic.
Wish I could give it less than one star this place is the worst when it comes to seeing you at your appropriated time!!! Why bother making appointments weeks in advance at times just to be seen an hour or more after your appointment time! It’s always the same excuse the doctor is running behind either you guys are understaffed or are just trying to cram as many people in so you guys can be profitable! They will definitely get your vitals as quick as possible so that they can charge your insurance for some up matter what! Definitely looks for another clinic!
They are so unorganized. You have to call multiple times about the same exact thing. Now they're canceling appointments without notifying the patient. They need someone to get involved and add structure!!
Honestly, I am beyond grateful to had found this health care facility. Some people complain about the wait but I seriously have not waited more than 8 minutes the most! Everyone is extremely friendly, to the front desk to the nurses and etc! When my doctor isn't available in a certain day they will provide you with another Doctor who makes you feel as comfortable as ur other doctor makes you feel. My health feels so important here because instead of you dealing with appointments and calling them, THEY call YOU to keep up with ur visits and ask how have you been feeling. Seriously that's above and beyond caring. That's love lol. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!
Ok Clinic for pediatrics and Seniors not so great for Adults. They make you wait almost 30 mins in a room just so the dr can spend 10, and rush out. CNAs can be a bit rude and usually gossip in their area about Dr. and other staff. Cant schedule you and your child the same day around the same time. Call back in two weeks and almost always booked try again in 2 weeks
Extremely unprofessional, the front desk staff is horrible! When requesting for a doctors form for school purposes they make you wait 7-10 business days not only that but when they claim it is ready for pick up and they make you wait an additional 45 mins to find the form that they misplaced.... They need to learn to be more tidy and keep a good welcoming professionalism to their patients.
Been attending & has been my primary clinic, with my primary Dr for over 12 years. The Dr, & nurse Martiza,hopefully spelling her name correct, are the best & most knowledgeable medical professionals I've ever met. Actually I was ill for sometime & had been to other Dr's & specicialist ,& no one could figure what was the issue. My Dr,& the nurse had figured out the issues. Which were serious med issues, & still attend. I thank them with my life .
Only giving it one star because I’m not allowed to give 0. This is the absolute worst care I’ve ever gotten. Once I went to see my PCP bc of extreme pain and my doctor told me I was PMS-ing and over exaggerating “growing pains” and when I came back two weeks later for a follow up on my appendectomy she said “oh, look at that! Something was wrong” I’ve never had the same PCP for more than 2-3 appointments, and have frequently been left hanging for referrals— most of which I never received. Receptionists are rude, uncoordinated with doctors and their policies, and even the clinic’s own policies. Would highly recommend against Erie Humboldt Park.
