This place is really great. I've played about 20+ escape rooms and worked at one for a long while. This place really put a lot of thought into their rooms. We played The Manor. The design was incredible. Some of the puzzles were a bit long, but they were so well done and challenging, but in a fair way. We didn't make it out, but the experience in the room was amazing. This has easily been one of the best experiences I've had playing a room. The staff was super nice and helpful. They are currently going through some renovation work and hope they continue doing what they're doing in the future because this really was a well designed and fun room.
The room was great however the staff was not too friendly. The guy who took us into the room let us know that the door out would always be unlocked. We had about 20 minutes or so left and I went out to use the restroom and the lady came out from behind the curtain and said kinda rudely “Can I help you?” The way she said it to me took me off guard and so I replied “Going to the bathroom?” She said “oh I didn’t know you’re going to the bathroom.” I said “the guy who brought us in said we could come back out if we needed.” She said “No, they don’t allow people to go in and out, once you go in you’re not supposed to come out until the end. We also asked that they not give us clues unless we asked and the lady kept coming over the speaker and telling us what to do before we even had a chance to investigate and figure it out on our own. Made us feel like they were trying to rush us through our room and not allow us our paid for time to figure it out.
We escaped Grandma's House! Enjoyed the room and visiting with the staff. They are invested in entertainment to Lake Charles. Looking forward to the next activity they are bringing to SWLA!
What an awesome escape room!!! This group has a phenomenal combination of clever and interactive puzzles, awesome stories, excellent artistic expression and technical expertise — plus wonderful creators/hosts. We loved it here, did all 3 rooms and think all skill levels will love it. Thanks!
We just completed The Ship this past weekend with family, and we successfully escaped! We had an excellent time and really enjoyed the room! After our previous experience with Grandma's House, we kept anticipating spooky that did not come - but that did not matter! DEFINITELY recommend this, and in our opinion - it is a better experience with your family or a group of people you know! We are already planning to return to escape The Manor!! Grandma's House was just spooky enough...we almost solved, about 10 seconds shy!! Staff was excellent, we will definitely go back!!
Our group went here for the first time and completed "The Manor" escape room. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The same group teamed up again to try "The Ship". We all thoroughly enjoyed that room as well. We will be back for "Grandma's House" soon! The staff has been super friendly and accommodating. My suggestion is to book your spot at least a few days in advance. They book up faster than you think.
Took a group of 10 and split up to do The Manor 2 adults and 2 tweens and Grandma's House 1 adult, 5 teens. Both groups had a great time. Escaped Grandma's but not the manor. My group would love to go again. As far as fright level for Grandma's, I think it was just the right amount for my teens. Lots of delighted squealing and jumps.
Absolutely amazing! We have went to bayou Escape Room here in lake Charles, but this one was more awesome! Grandma is supper fun, and very detailed. The lights flicker, and sometimes go out which is scary but super fun. There’s Thunder affects and children voices out of speakers. It’s super nice to do it with family, and we had a fun time and we’re definitely going back. Some parts where tricky, some were super easy. No scary people come out at you so don’t worry about that, I’m definitely not going to talk about the whole room, how it looks etc. find out when you get there because it’s awesome and very nice. The staff was also very kind
We had a BLAST! Great fun for young and old alike, our group had so much fun. We completed our room with just 3min left and I wouldn't have changed a thing. We will definitely be back. More rooms to complete.
Hello reviewers, So what can I say about the Escape room. Well first the location is not obvious there's no signs except a little one on the door. The attendant was nice but had grease stained shirt. That was the only bad things, now the good things. This was frighteningly fun I was scared myself at parts when the lights went out and when doors popped open. The one we did was Grandma's House. It was a great story and made for a scary experience. The attendant was very helpful and nice the whole way through. Tldr great story, great haunts, fun interactions, but hard to identify without a bigger sign.
