Very basic dog park. Just a rectangular fenced area. Minimal grass. Mostly gravel. No water fountain for filling dog bowls. It doesn’t work.
We like this place because it's so close to us, and it's usually pretty well attended. It was kind of out of control for awhile, with people not cleaning up after their dogs, people opening both gates allowing other people's dogs out of the park, allowing their vicious dogs to attack others and then not even leaving after a problem had arose, like I was having absolutely unacceptable experiences and interactions several times a week, but things seemed to have calmed down and normalized. Still, keep your head on a swivel at this park. It really is mostly good dogs and people, but there are a couple regulars who have no business being there until they've put their dog through some formal training.
Super awesome park with wide open spaces and fields to play in, and a cool forested area with a zipline. There are also swings, a sand digger, slides, and a huge climbing structure for the kids. Right next to the playground is a really nice off leash dog park as well. Oh, and there's an enclosed basketball court too.
Esperance used to be such a fun dog park to take my dog to, but lately it has been very empty. Even during peak hours! The dog park has become quite neglected and overgrown as well… litter, animal droppings, and destroyed toys all over the ground. Unfortunately, there are not many other convenient and populated locations so I will still be taking my dog here.
The dogs fields are pretty good. Mostly dirt except for a grassy hill to one side in the main one. Lots of regulars come and go. The playground and nearby small wooded area with paths are charming. There is even a short zip line for kids.
I like it, and I feel I havent had a bad experience yet, but tbh the bad experience would be due to an owner and not the park. I would say though, it's quite small so if your dog likes to run I would suggest a bigger park to explore. There is a lot of places to walk on a leash, just not off of it besides the small area. Playground: There is one and it looks quite good and new Dog-friendliness: Has a small dog area and a big dog area. Both are quite small
This review is for people riding the zipline, which is fixed...for now. We've been twice in two days and both times there were kids jumping on the Zipline seat while riding it all the way to the end, causing the entire cable to bounce. Let's teach our kids to respect public equipment so it doesn't break and cost time and money to fix...again.
Has a separate small dog park, the ground is sand. My daughter loves the zipline in the forest. Has drinking fountain.
It was my first time at this place, It's a small park, with playground for kids, baseball field, off leash dog park for small dogs and big dogs, I visited specifically for opening of new small but beautiful Monument, we really enjoyed our time there.
I take my dogs here almost every day and they love it. There's a fairly regular group of folks who do the same. Very friendly atmosphere, great fields and a nice little wooded area.
