Established in 1975, Essex Green Sunoco is a family-owned and operated business that specializes in both foreign and domestic vehicle repair. We’ve got you covered from oil changes to state inspections and transmission repairs. Our shop is also still has fuel attendants, keeping that old-school charm alive while we pump your gas. Two weeks after getting an oil change from this place my engine died, while on the road. I had it towed to a reputable shop to inspect the issue. My car didn't have any oil in it, and appeared to have not had an oil change in some time. I have tried calling the shop to discuss this, but have not heard from the owner as of yet. I would not recommend this place after this stressful experience.
Every experience at Sunoco on Prospect Avenue in West Orange has been top notched. The prices are fair and the service can't be matched. As a frequent customer, they make sure I always get the "royal" treatment. Joey, Jack and Eric make sure that all my car needs are met at the highest possible level. My current car has 218,000 miles on it and I purchased it in 2004. That's what good service gets you! A car that lasts and lasts...I recommended them to all my friends. Super great customer service and fair prices. I've had several mechanics prior to finding this Sunoco Station. These guys are the absolute best, without question.
I absolutely agree with poster Loretta. I have two cars that Eric, Jack and Joey know better than anyone and my experience with them over several years has been that they have always strived to meet my availability and need for quick turnaround, are very honest about things that DON'T need to be done, and offer very fair prices for high quality work. I will absolutely use them as long as possible and recommend them with no reservations.
Had my dad’s car inspected here. Eric the owner is a really nice man who runs a nice, clean gas station. Inspection was thorough and made things very easy for us. I highly recommend this station.
The crew at Essex Green Sunoco is great! Anytime I go there for gas, I alway feel welcomed and it's a friendly environment. I trust the mechanics because they are upfront, honest, and quick with repairs. I always enjoy seeing Joe there because he is a friendly and funny person. It seems like he remembers everyone who interacts with. He makes you feel like a priority when you are there. If you are in the area and need service, this is the place to go!
Dropped by this morning to get a leaky tire plugged. What a truly nice experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the work was done quickly and accurately. I will be back for all my vehicles needs.
Charge more for credit card than cash. Service was slow at the pump. Fix/service area for repairs looked busy, though.
Had my truck fixed in less than 24hrs. Cost was reasonable. Great service

Won't call for estimates or when car is ready even when asked
