I have worked with both partners on numerous occasions dealing with complex tax law that required repeat communication with the IRS. They are the most knowledgeable team with regards to taxes, tax law, filings, and tax accounting that I have ever worked with. When they make a commitment you can count on them either making it or getting it done early. Their communications are quick, knowledgeable and secure. I would HIGHLY recommend them!
The previous accountant made a complete mess of my taxes, then stopped returning my outreaches. For years tax season was a dreadful ordeal full of procrastinating, profanity, and panic, then I found Esther Sawyer CPA. Chris Sawyer does my taxes, and he goes above and beyond every time. This last year I went back to trying to file myself and ended up once again in last-minute panic mode. With hours left to file before the deadline I reached out to Chris and asked for his help, fully expecting him to tell me that I would have to pay late penalties because he was too busy to get to it that day. To my great surprise, he managed to prepare and file my return within about two hours of sending him my documents, so I avoided all the IRS penalties and got a full refund from Mass DOR. Some people might balk at his rate, but his commitment to his work and client service are worth every single penny. This year I'll be providing him my documents as soon as I get them, so I can relax and not worry about tax season at all.
