Our program is located in a beautiful region of Southern Appalachia, with breathtaking landscapes, a culture steeped in tradition, and abundant outdoor activities. We are administered by East Tennessee State University, a national leader in primary care and rural health care.
Our Mission is to provide community-focused medical education and evidence-based, patient centered care; to improve health in rural southern Appalachia, especially among the underserved population; to model compassionate and efficient care using effective communication skills; and to advance scholarly investigation.
