By far the best College library I have been to. Tons of option for all kinds of books you could want or need. There is such a wealth of knowledge here it really is quite amazing and it has some of the best study rooms on campus.
I don't pay thousands of dollars a year to work in a library where groups do not respect others who are trying to actually study. When I have to physically leave the building because I can hear people yelling about horoscopes, juuls, and other random non-school BS, despite the fact I asked staff to help keep them quiet, it's extremely annoying and disappointing. If you aren't here to study, then you shouldn't be here. A library means you maintain normal volume and the designated 'quiet spaces' are for complete silence. Just because you aren't in a quiet space doesn't mean you can disturb everyone around you. Terrible reaction from management as they showed an obvious disregard for one of our core Aggie values, respect. When I'm trying to get work done at 1:30 in the morning I don't need to constantly be distracted by those who decide to procrastinate.
10/10 vacation destination! It has everything you could want: 5-star coffee bar on the first floor, glistening water fountains, luxurious lounges, warm, ambient light, and a sky walk that makes you feel like you're on cloud 9.
Sixth floor has a quiet study space. The whole library is monstrous in size. A good collection of wide range of books, publications, subject matter, etc. The panoramic view of the city of college station from the 6th floor would leave you in awe.
Get a good view of campus from the 6th floor.
Up to 3hrs? Ha! It does get busy, but honestly, I've almost always found a nice place to settle down and study. There are talking areas, whisper areas, and don't-you-make-a-sound areas which are great!
I basically lived in this library... and while I do miss the old-school Poor Yorick’s that has apparently been replaced by Starbucks, it's a great place to study on campus. Just beware... it gets super busy, especially if you're looking for a computer.
Students that are not using the computers are often just sitting in the computer space and studying or using their own computer. I’ve been here three times and I cannot find a computer, this is a big problem. Y’all need to either make it known that only students that will actually use the computers can sit in a computer spot, or make more computer spaces or chair spaces. This is a real inconvenience!
Needs to be renovated immediately. Only the first two floors are renovated and the entire building should be renovated to have more access to outlets, more comfortable seating, and a better overall aesthetic
Centrally located on campus, clean, spacious, tons of cozy places to either study or take a nap. Quiet floors are a plus.
