Evansville Christian School, also known as ECS, is a private, Christian school with several locations throughout the Evansville, tri-state area in Southwestern Indiana.HistoryEvansville Christian School was founded in 1975. In 1990, it incorporated as a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation with an independent board of directors. In 2002, the school started its second campus serving Evansville's Northside. Over the years, ECS has experienced a significant increase in activities, athletics, and enrollment.In August 2017, ECS opened its first freestanding campus on a 16-acre site near the intersection of Epworth Road and Lincoln Avenue. ECS now operates five campuses (four in partnership with churches) and meets the needs of 800+ students in preschool through high school.ECS is an A-Rated, Four-Star school per the Indiana Department of Education. Further, the school is fully accredited by the Indiana Department of Education, the Association of Christian Schools International, and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.Grounds and LocationECS' original "East Campus", serving PK-5th grade students, is located on Lincoln Avenue inside Bethel Church. The "North Campus", serving K-2nd grade students, is located on Millersburg Road inside Christian Fellowship Church. The "Cullen" Campus, located on Kentucky Avenue inside First Southern Baptist Church, is where 6th and 7th grades are taught.
