I wanted fresh milk chocolate. But here it turned out to be mostly dark shkolad, but also tasty
They have the best chocolates around! My favorites are their chocolate covered pretzels and the truffles. This location is bigger than their Glen Dale location, but they both carry the same products. Perfect for Valentine's day, birthdays, anniversaries, or of you just want to surprise a special someone.
The best quality I hope they never go out of business since Great Neck is too expensive for small businesses to survive
A small, unassuming chocolatier in the middle of Great Neck, with a nice selection of high quality home made chocolates. If you want to sample little sweet decadence, try this place.
In my opinion, thehy have the best made chocolates on the planet! I've been coming here for years and their chocolate covered cashews are so damn good and addictive, check it out!
I'd heard about Lazar's from my husband who visited the shop when he was young so when I saw a Groupon for Lazar's, I jumped at it. I'm impressed they allowed users so much time to use the it---it was available back in February and now it's July and I just used it! The Groupon specified it was for their Bayside location which has since closed---they allowed users to use it at any of their stores. The shop is exactly what you'd expect from a traditional candy shop. They have everything you could think of, both chocolate and non-chocolate---even the famous or infamous, depending on your appetite Tate's cookies! My sole reason for visiting Lazar's was for chocolate sponges, something I grew up with from the Jersey shore no, not the show. It's a piece of candy made of molasses, corn syrup, and baking soda that's covered in dark or milk chocolate. If you're a See's candy fan, think of their Krisps. I love sponges and I really haven't seen them anywhere. Needless to say, Lazar's didn't disappoint---theirs are covered in a ton of chocolate! My husband was thrilled with his chocolate mints, which according to him, haven't changed from what he remembered. Prices are generally standard with a few items a bit higher than other places. $7 for a quarter pound of chocolate.

great tasting chocolate but the woman/staff who works in there is rude and nasty. not friendly at all. I don't get it.
Great chocolate. Too bad it melted on the way home, but we still enjoyed eating it once it resolidified.
