My favorite restaurant! The brown butter lobster on the grilled bao bun is the best. I also enjoyed their cold lobster roll but the star is the brown butter one. The tuna was also really fresh and yummy! The brown butter soft serve was another superstar. I would not bother at all with the Whoopie Pie. It was basically cream in the middle so not enough sugar and the chocolate buns were dry. I wish the seating was a bit more inviting cold wood/hard as the rest of decor is very pretty. Parking isn’t easy even when a game isn’t playing but you can pay to park in the garage in the building. AVOID going though during a Red Sox game. It’s just too busy and too hard to get to! But the delicious food more than makes up for any faults. A definite go-to place.
We had a great dinner at Eventide before heading to the Red Sox game at Fenway Park, which is just steps away from Eventide. We especially enjoyed the brown butter lobster roll, wings and asparagus. The side salad was a great size for two people to share. Our waiter, David, was wonderful. We appreciated his honesty and guidance when ordering. The atmosphere is casual and has a great laid back, yet elevated vibe. Would definitely return when in the Fenway area again.
We got the half dozen of the Joly oysters with the pickled red onion ice and the tabasco ice, as well as the Cold Lobster roll and the Eventide brown butter lobster roll. The oysters were some of the best oysters I've had and the ice toppings were pretty unique liked the tabasco one more. The rolls are on the small side. We thought the brown butter roll was good but a little too rich while the cold roll was more well balanced. Tldr get the Joly oysters and cold lobster roll
Only went for drinks and snacks so didn't get to take advantage of the full menu. Fish charcuterie board was ok; the smoked mussels and the accompaniments were the highlights. Wish the descriptions of the raw bar items were on the menu instead of the ordering sheet. Anyway, was quite pleasantly surprised by the "ice" that comes with -- now that's something memorable! Drinks were yummy. Service was on par. Atmosphere is great, decor nice and clean - that rock is a nice touch! Website didn't state and I didn't ask we had other plans, but would appreciate it if they offered validated parking, what with the new chaos that is in this area. Parking: Some metered parking on the street + few garages, all with exorbitant rate. Their website didn't state and I didn't ask we had other plans, but would appreciate it if they offered validated parking.
Best lobster roll I’ve ever had! The brown butter lobster roll was rich and had a great pillowy bun, similar to bao. It’s about half the size of a normal bun, but for the price, it’s worth it. We sat at the bar and the staff was incredibly polite and friendly, they helped us find something we wanted to drink. Would recommend this to anyone in the area!
I got the brown butter lobster roll. At $19, it's about half the size of a typical lobster roll in Boston, so the cost is about right if you factor in the uniqueness of the flavors. I also love the pillowy steamed bun it comes in. But don't count on it for a full meal - it's basically kid-sized.Food: 4/5
Eventide has been on my list for a long time. I've gone to Boston 3 times in year and never got the chance to go here until my recent visit. The brown butter lobster roll was the best lobster roll I've ever had. The bun was soft and buttery, similar to the joys of eating half baked cookies. The lobster was excellent quality and extremely juicy, flavorful, and test. The steamed bass was very good quality as well. I like how they have Asian fusion flavors on their menu. Their oyster selection was very nice and had some classic Asian dipping sauces. The seafood is of great quality and their beer selection is extensive. To top it all off, the ice cream was rich and paired well with the nuts and caramel drizzle. The food scene in New England is awesome. Highly recommend a visit to Eventide if in the area!
We took our grandson on a trip to Boston, and after Tours Fenway Park had a late lunch and even had Fenway. The burgers were cooked to perfection. The wings were spicy and crispy. And the tuna tartare was perfect.Food: 5/5
First time in Boston, during a quick little exploration of the area I decided to stop and eat here. I wasn’t disappointed, I chose to sit with an open view of the streets and everyone passing by couldn’t help but stare at the oysters, wings, and amazing lobster roll. The dessert apple pie and custard was magnificent as well. When I visit again I will be sure to eat here.
Delicious food and great service! We went right around lunch opening on Saturday and it was not too busy with plenty of seating. Many items come as stand alone so be sure to ask for sides! Overall great food taste. The oysters were fresh with a good variety of selection depending on brine, sweetness and creaminess. The lobster rolls are a must try with the soft man-tou bun and buttery lobster chunks. The chicken sandwich is also delicious with a spicy kick to it. Definitely a must visit when going to Boston, especially for the lobster rolls!
