Zak gave my family with 3 kids 10, 8 and 6 a great tour. He seemed to have a true interest wildlife and ecosystem and it came through in the tour. He was great with the kids keeping them engaged the whole trip. The air boat ride was fun and we had a lucky nature walk that we saw 3 small alligators and a young hawk sitting in a tree really close to the boardwalk. Well worth it.
Best choice for exploring the Everglades. Our tour guide was Heidi and she was super funny and extremely knowledgeable. You can tell that they love their job. The airboat ride is beautiful and very entertaining. Lunch is really good but I think the highlight is the boat tour at the end. We were lucky enough to have a dolphin swim in the wake of our boat and we even encountered a Manatee. If you want to explore the Everglades area from every aspect then this is the best tour out there. We'll definitely be back!
My husband and I booked the full day tour. Our guide, Heidi, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The reason why I'm giving less than 5 stars is because the we spent most of our day inside the shuttle driving. It was hard to hear Heidi talking while in the back of the shuttle with the air conditioner running. The 2 boat rides we went on were fun. I was also hoping to actually hold an alligator like I've seen in other reviews, but that must have not been a part of this tour. If I were to do this again I would just book my own airboat tour and save all of the other time driving. Also they had just opened a new BBQ food truck next to the first boating area, which would have been delicious to go to for lunch. The restaurant we went to instead was ok but the waitress seemed less than thrilled to have us there.
A great experience and Pete was a very knowledgeable tour guide. And we saw 100's of alligators and many bird species on Lake Trofford during the airboat ride. Our kids just loved the reptileshow in the end, holding both snakes and a small alligator. We can only recommend taking a tour with Pete and his crew...
Great place to see some beautiful animals in their almost natural environment. Peacocks roaming … lots of beautiful birds … alligators…
We had a great time.
Our hike, reptile experience and airboat tour with Rhett was the absolute highlight of our Floirda vacation for Spring Break! Rhett was very knowledgeable and struck the perfect balance between educating us and our kids 14, 11, and 8 on the native plants, ecosystem, and wildlife in the area and having fun along with us when we came across a 4 foot Eastern Diamond Back Rattlesnake along our hike and got up close and personal with a Roseated Spoonbill while on our airboat ride. Two spectacular sightings! He also promised us alligators and he delivered there too! We saw between 120-150 alligators on our Everglade airboat ride-some just feet from our boat. It was SO MUCH fun. It was also a safe way to have fun as Rhett and our airboat operator took COVID precautions very seriously and all of us were masked for the entire experience. The highlight for my kids was handling the snakes and baby alligator. Unforgettable and epic experience!! Thanks Rhett and Everglades Day Safari!!
I would say that It is a nice walk if you’re a local or an animal watcher. You might see some pretty cool animals, for example I saw a alligator and a hawk. However, I was visiting a friend in Fort Myers and that is why I stopped by. I wouldn’t say this place is a must see for tourists but if you have an hour or two to kill I would recommend stopping by.
Our family had fun! Nice experience! Didn't see much ,maybe 2-3 alligators, but it was fun
