Evergreen Cabins and Mercantile was established in 1998, We thrive to ensure our guests and customers receive the best service possible during their visits and ensure a positive experience. We offer beautiful cabins, and a mercantile with basic groceries, gifts, candles, apparel, Old fashioned hand dipped ice cream seasonally, and a small kitchen serving all your favorite food! Pizza is our specialty.

My Husband and I just got back from our stay at Baby Bear for our honeymoon. The owners are super friendly, and attentive. Our cabin was so cozy, rustic, and beautiful! We hated to leave, and will definitely book with Evergreen again in the future.Rooms: 5/5
The ownership and staff are outstanding. Our cabin was very clean and in excellent condition. Beds are comfortable which is important because I’m 6’3 and 205lbs. The setting in the Forrest is beautiful and peaceful. All amenities were included as well as firewood. I’ve traveled all over and have backpacked out west. The staff more than met my expectations. We stayed in cabin 7 which is perfect for a couple including a jacuzzi and fireplace. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Wonderful Experience!!! The "Timberbrook" cabin was absolutely beautiful, exactly like the photos! We walked into a very clean cabin that smelled so fresh! The kitchen was fully equipped w/ everything we needed for an easy meal prep, which was nice! The owner & family were very welcoming with great hospitality!! The Mercantile/ Office was extremely clean & smelled amazing!!! All around wonderful experience, we'll definitely be visiting again!!!
My fiancé and I stayed in cabin 8 this weekend, our stay isn’t over yet. But I couldn’t help but to review. The cabin was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Out of any hotels I’ve been to or anything. I was amazed but the details of how clean the cabin was, the customer service. Is absolutely AMAZING. So welcoming right off the bat. I will be recommending this wonderful business to everyone I know! You need to book with them, you will NOT be disappointed.
We stayed in #3 Black Bear. This is our new place to stay at Cook Forest! We’ve been to Cook’s several times and this is a hidden gem. I won’t stay anywhere else after this. The cabin was clean and nicely renovated. Had a nice gas wood burner. We liked the internet and smart tv because we like nature but don’t like completely roughing it. Location is great - the cabin feels private but you aren’t alone in the middle of nowhere. The mercantile has forgotten things available for purchase along with some lovely art. The host was attentive - even loaned us some towels when we forgot ours. Advice to people staying here: bring extra toilet paper, paper towels and blankets. Can’t wait to go back!
The Cabin and location are very nice. However, be prepare to be watched and listened to via numerous cameras throughout the property. The owner will likely even text you about what you are doing. Again the cabin was very nice and an enjoyable place to be besides constant surveillance from the owner. Being watched is not my idea of “camping” in Cooks Forest. Nothing was said that your cameras were not within your rights, I just wanted others to know that them and their families may be watched as well. We did not exceed 8 guests most of which were family. Banging that you mentioned was splitting wood on a stump, not uncommon at a cabin. Finally I would defy you to say anything other than we left your cabin in the exact condition we found it. Toilet, floors, countertops cleaned, beds made. I reviewed that your property is very nice, but the over use of cameras is creepy. You were aware that we were having a very mellow party, and at nearly $800 for 1 night we all had to leave to work before the next night you made out just fine. Part of being in a service business is not every review will be 5 stars.

I traveled to cook Forest for the first time last week and had an amazing time. The cabin was rustic, but clean and technologically modern, the forest is amazing and Steve was a very attentive and accommodating host. I’ll definitely be making a return trip!Rooms: 5/5
Great stay in the middle of Pennsylvania woods, surrounded by incredible nature I felt like in a fairytale. We came for the Groundhog Day and stayed at cabin #8 Honey Bear, very private and pleasant. Loved jacuzzi next to the fireplace and amazing view from a panoramic window. Very cozy and quite. When we arrived the owned gifted us a welcome chocolate candy box! Also we got very detailed instructions on what to bring and what to take care of before the check-out.
My Wife and I just had a 5 night stay here and just can't say enough great things. The cabin was very nice and super clean. The Internet was very fast and we were able to stream on multiple devices with no issues. The owners and staff were very attentive and accommodating. The property itself is very well kept and we were able to experience both nice Spring weather and a very pretty snowfall on the same trip. Evergreen Cabins, thank you for a wonderful stay and we can't wait to come back!
