My name is Michael Black and I am the attorney at Evergreen Tax Law, LLC; a new firm, looking to build its reputation in the Central Florida area.
I received my law degree from the Florida State University College of Law and since becoming a member of the Florida Bar, I have focused my career in the areas of tax law and planning, business law and planning, and estate planning.
Before returning to the Orlando area, I practiced tax law in Tallahassee, Florida, gaining years of experience in negotiating and handling client issues before the Internal Revenue Service, as well as handling a myriad of issues that might arise for businesses or their owners at any stage.
I have handled collection cases before the IRS with amounts owing well over $1 million, and I have extensive experience in representing individuals and businesses facing IRS collection activities, including liens, levies, installment agreements, Offers in Compromise, Collection Due Process hearings, and Trust Fund Recovery Penalties for payroll tax issues.
Prior to law school, I received my Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Central Florida, giving me a strong foundation in areas such as business accounting, business ethics, business management, finance, and other important aspects of the business world which I use in my law practice on a daily basis.
While completing my M.B.A., I was also employed at a large financial company, assisting clients in financial planning and building and protecting their assets in preparation for retirement. This experience illustrated for me the importance of tax law and good tax planning, as well as the value in good client service.
My law practice is concentrated in the areas of tax law, business law, and estate planning, allowing me to combine my business and legal experience in order to focus on protecting my clients’ assets, and therefore, my clients’ futures.
Besides being a member of the Florida Bar, I have also been admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, and I am a member of the Orange County Bar Association, as well as the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.
