I had an appointment at Evoke salon with a hair stylist named Wilson who I've worked with yet before he joined the salon. I needed to do partial hair highlights since I'm going on a work trip and I wanted to look good and cover some gray strands I have. I contacted Wilson, send him the pictures of my hair - the light brown/reddish color hair on pictures attached. I also sent the result I wanted, see the picture with darker hair color with highlights. Out of that I only want the highlight part, I didn't want my own hair to be darker, I just want thinner contrasting highlights that become thicker closer to the ends and I specified that I need him to help cover grey. It seemed we were aligned on what I wanted, but the result was what you see on the pictures. The highlights he gave me ended up not having enough contrast with my hair and didn't cover gray at all - I know pictures don't show it well enough, but I do have some grey hair scattered around my head. I was pretty disappointed with the result. Wilson told me that I should wait for two weeks and it'll become what I want. It's been a bit over a week and nothing's really changed. I really doubt that I'll get the result I expected by the end of this week. Basically, I insisted that this was not what I hoped for and he persuaded me to come next week so he would fix his work and made it right. He charged me $85 for trimming my ends by 1 inch, I gave $15 tip. He told me to come by 9 AM next Saturday. I woke up super early and drove an hour to get their on time. When I arrived the salon was closed and when I messaged to Wilson he said he wasn't feeling well and won't come today, asked me if we could move appointment to other day... I don't have any time left before my work trip to fit another appointment, so that was not the option. I explained my situation to Wilson and he said he still won't come. I asked if anyone of his colleagues can help me and he gave me somebody's number, but it wasn't from the same salon and they never answered the phone or desperate messages I left. I'm giving 1 star because I think the service was terrible and that Wilson did not try to make things right, did not warn me a day before that he couldn't make an appointment, and basically let me down in the last moment. I'm really disappointed in service, will never return again.

I had an exceptional experience at this men's haircut place with stylist Victor. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Victor took the time to listen to my haircut preferences and offered valuable suggestions. His attention to detail and precision in cutting my hair were truly impressive.  What sets this place apart is the atmosphere - it's a stylish and well-maintained salon with a modern yet cozy vibe. The cleanliness and hygiene measures were also top-notch, which is especially important these days.  Victor's skills as a stylist are undeniable. He gave me a haircut that exceeded my expectations. It's evident that he takes pride in his work and strives for excellence.  Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at this men's haircut place, and I highly recommend Victor as a skilled and friendly stylist who truly knows his craft. I'll definitely be returning for my next haircut.

Hair stylist did my hair very well love how she blow and loose my hair. She is very friendly and passion in her work , it’s just for hair wash they place awkward position for hair stylist to wash my hair

The guy is fast and does a nice job but they disappoint big time with appointments! Have been there 4 times once i got there some one was getting a cut so i sat there while he got done ! This last time, I showed up for my appointment and again some lady was in the seat and he was like: well I have started this already! I was 7 minutes ish early for my appointment he told me he is going to call me once she was almost done! Well we went on walk expecting a call that never came! I did not even hear an apology! So well that’s it for me with them!

I had an excellent experience at this salon today. I called and was able to get a same day appointment on a  Sunday. They were very punctual and respectful. Victor did my threading. He was excellent. I am very particular about my threading  but Victor listened to what I wanted and delivered perfectly. I went in with many needs for my hair to be colored, the roots and the highlights needed to be redone, Victor listened to what I wanted and consulted with me. He showed me various colors to choose from from his hair swab color book and he even consulted with his partner about the best approach to take with my hair. I came out looking fabulous! I appreciate you, Victor and your patience with my hair. One of the best hair cuts I’ve had in Bay Area. This is my first time here. Victor is an awesome guy. The cut was perfect and the people here are very friendly and hospitable. Absolutely recommend.

Kady did a wonderful job on all of my haircuts. I have been going to her for several years. She is very skilled and fast at all services. Her highlights are better than any in the area. Highly recommend

Niloo at Evoke Salon did such a fantastic job with my hair. She color corrected and added highlights and was very gentle with my super curly hair. The salon is nice and clean, everyone there is calm and friendly and they are reasonably priced. I don't typically like going to salons because most people have no idea what to do with super curly hair, but they were great.

Cady did a fantastic job with my haircut. She listened attentively to my preferences and made great suggestions, resulting in a cut that perfectly suited me. The salon was nice and clean, enhancing the overall experience. Looking forward to my next visit!
