Description

The Sports and Recreation Center (SRC) is a multi-sport and activity center designed for enhancing recreation and sport for the student body and local community.

Developed in several "phases" throughout the 1970's, the SRC boasts over 150,000 square feet of recreational space. The SRC is home to "Reese Court", the Aquatic Center, the Strength and Conditioning Center, the Fieldhouse, the Dance Studio, as well as many other activity gyms and spaces.

The Sports and Recreation Center is open to all students, faculty and community members. We invite you to visit and take part in the abundance of sports and activities the Sports and Recreation Center has to offer.

There is a lot of different options at the this gym. I never really took advantage of it until my senior year. Might as well since you're still paying for it, if you are a student. The only critique I would give is they have a clothing requirement. I came in with jeans because I was working arms and they never let me work out at all. I had a Planet Fitness membership because I never wanted to deal with that. It's also not 24hrs, so if you like to work out late then you're out of luck.
Modern well equipped gym for beginners and experts. First floor consists of free weights and a basketball court, while the second floor consist of workout machines and a track to run or walk on. A day pass is roughly $10 for non-ewu students. Changing rooms are at ground level and lockers with high tech locks can be used free of charge for one day. Gym equipment is new and well taken care of, maintenance is done regularly to keep equipment performing like new. If you have any questions or concerns the front desk is always happy to help.
Amazing facility and was really neat to be on a big university campus.
It's a really nice center with great amenities - ice rink, slate sharpening, fitness center, pool, climbing wall, etc. Because all of the different bits are crammed into a small building, it can be hard to navigate until you are familiar with it.
Horrible experience! Truly should be Zero Stars!! We called to ask if the Open Skate would be available on 11/23 so that we could have our son's birthday party. They said yes, they would be open and that we should check with the manager Travis on if we need to reserve any space or just come in. We called and text him multiple times with no answer. We called back the rec center a couple days later to confirm if they will be open and if we need to reserve space. The staff stated yes they would be open and to just come in, No need to reserve anything. We show up for the party and the main doors are locked. We get in through the side garage door and everything is closed for the Ice Skating side. We confirmed with the rock climbing staff that they should be open and are unsure why no one is here. They tried to call and text the manager, Travis, with no answer. What a joke of a place. Travis should not be managing that place.
Went to EWU to watch the National Curling Championship games. Enjoyed the excited vibe, good treat to eat and drink. Plenty of free parking, there is pay parking closer. A great day of curling!

What a blast skating in this roller rink! I wish it was ice free more often. Thank you!
I very much enjoy using the University Recreation Center to just sit and do work in the nice, casual environment. I can sit and watch the rock climbers and ice skaters and enjoy my time. The Roost specifically is great for a quick, cheap meal.
Here for the U.S. curling championships. Would be 5 stars, but hot food/drinks didn't open until noon. Games started at 8am.
