What exactly is Exchange Station?
First of all: it's FREE!!
It is a place for our community to donate and exchange books of all kinds (toddler to adult) and/or jigsaw puzzles of all kinds (toddler to adult).
What should you expect when you visit?
Just drive, walk or bike on over to the Station. Bring any donations you wish to contribute. Once you locate the Station, walk up the stone path to the trunks. There are two trunks, one for books and one for puzzles, just go ahead and open them and see what treasures are inside. You can take a few to keep, leave as many as you would like and/or borrow them and bring them back when your done. It's up to you! Everyone is welcome!
Why did I choose to open this Station?
Mostly to bring more community to our area. Sharing common interests is a wonderful way to meet people and knit together bonds. I personally love to read and have been a bookworm my whole life. I am also a HUGE jigsaw puzzle fan and find it relaxing and very family oriented.
Which leads me to the Kindness Rock Garden. Since I started "Rock on Iredell County," I have wanted to start a rock garden and after contacting the Town of Mooresville and getting nowhere fast, I decided to add it to my Exchange Station. If you want to contribute, just paint rocks and drop them off or stop by and check out what is in the garden already and choose one that speaks to you!
The bottom line is this-- Exchange Station is FREE. It will thrive on donations. It is a community project and was a labor of love.
