The experience is touch an go as far as some of the staff. I had two separate experiences there. One was with OBGYN due to high risk pregnancy. Definitely do not recommend. After two appointments I never went back. And then I had a outpatient surgery and showed up early. When I arrived the woman at the front desk was just one of those people who could go your whole life never meeting an being happier for it. Just rude and snarky asking personal information infront of other patients. I had to just walk away because I couldn’t believe it. Aside from her distasteful encounter the surgical team for my surgery are amazing and sweet and welcoming.
labor and delivery i had a baby about four months ago at this hospital via c-section. the day nurses, OR staff, and midwife in the labor and delivery unit were amazing. but the night nurses and anesthesiologist were horrible. i was 18 and terrified while having a c-section and the anesthesiologist was laughing and talking about the beach and other random things while i was freaking out, nauseas and crying. now to the night nurses. first, i was basically bleeding out right after having a baby and the nurse was yelling about how there was “so much blood” right next to me while i was very out of it which obviously made me freak out more. also they left my boyfriend alone with the baby while he was screaming crying and while i was bleeding like crazy and he was watching the whole thing with not a single word said to him about what was going on or what was wrong with his brand new baby. after that another night nurse messed up my iv and while i was gushing blood, her and other nurses were laughing about it in front of my face and i had literally checked out at this point because i was so traumatized. the night after that i had asked a nurse to take my baby to the nursery so i could get a little bit of sleep. she proceeded to bring my baby back 1.5 hours later saying my baby had been screaming the whole time and said it was MY fault. i later realized my baby was hungry the entire time because the second he got food he was sucking it down. having a baby at 18 was hard enough. all i wanted was to be able to trust the people delivering my baby and instead they ruined the experience for me. my first nurse, stacia,i don’t know if that’s how you spell it was absolutely amazing and she was the only person who made me feel comfortable through the entire 3 days. i have never even left a review on anything before but i felt like i should let other moms to be know about my experience here which has messed me up horribly and now i don’t even want to have anymore babies.
6 hours still in waiting room. 2.8 stars what a nice compliment. Update Highly not recommended unless it your enemies. Over 9hr mark got out mins shy of 10 hr . Last nurse was the only pleasant .
I am a chronic Illness patient and unfortunately have had a lot of terrible experiences at the hospital. I am glad to write a positive view because this is the standard of care all should have. They made careful notes on my history to make sure I had a comfortable and smooth surgery. One detail they remembered without me having to remind them is that I have dysautonomia and cold intolerance and having cold IV fluids too fast causes to shiver uncontrollably for hours and is very uncomfortable. They warmed up the fluids before bringing them to me and checked the rate was comfortable before leaving me. They also made sure I had many options for pain management while going under for endometriosis excision…my surgery was at 9:30 am and I didn’t even start having pain again until 6 PM that night. Thank you Exeter hospital surgery team and dr garguilo for making my surgery experience a good one!
Was sent here for a chest xray because of persistent breathing issues following heavy smoke exposure near the Canadian border 3 weeks ago. Their main parking lot was closed and directed me to park in the garage down the road. That was also closed. I had to drive a quarter mile further down the road and park in a random side lot. Then I had to walk all the way back to the main entrance in July heat and 90% humidity with my shoddy lungs. It was locked. No signage of where to go. I walked around the complex for another 15 minutes before I found an open entrance. Wheezing and out of breath, I was then told they did not see any order for an Xray. I had called my doctor the day before and confirmed they sent it. I called Exeter hospital the day before and they said I was all set and I just had to come in before radiology closed. The person in radiology was not helpful or sympathetic and did nothing to try to help. They just turned me away and I was made to walk all the way back to my car. If I could give 0 stars I would. What an embarrassing clown show of a hospital.
I have switched to core physicians in Exeter hospital approximately about 1 1/2 years ago the team of Exeter hospital staff were there for me and they were there treating me with the upmost respect. The staff and nurses from core physicians to Exeter hospital every department I worked with the staff took it to the next level with 125 percent over my expectations. I recommend Exeter hospital to anyone out there
I’m not a fan of core but the hospital is incredible! I had surgery with Dr Marble a few years ago but last night I saw Dr Scott Page in the ER. It was a very low point for me and they took such good care of me and didn’t make me feel ashamed or embarrassed. I truly cannot thank him and the team enough and I am so thankful for them
Absolutely saved my life. The doctors and nurses in the ICU were incredible. They made the worst time in my life bearable. They made me less embarrassed over the more disgusting parts of being in the ICU. All the nurses cared and learned about me and my story and got to know me while I was there. They were incredibly comforting and uplifting and one of the doctors made a remarkable diagnosis, which many other doctors at places with better reviews misdiagnosed, and which absolutely changed my life for the better. So grateful for all the people there
Ooooo momma was the dr a total arrogant piece of work! Called me a liar when I told him what I read, then showed him, then he said “oh well I don’t deal with all that paperwork that’s nurse stuff” nice! Then came the outcome which was this huge scare for no reason but to scare .. he’s a nut and should retire…
Was in the emergency room waiting area for over 3 hours before I got an ultrasound on my arm. They found 2 blood clots. Was sent back to the waiting room for 4 more hours before a doctor finally put me in a room for 30 minutes, to then tell me to just put a heating pad on it and call my doctor on Monday. I have a history of blood clots and an autoimmune disease and the whole experience was just ridiculous and a waste of time. I will never go to Exeter Hospital again.
