Flew into Tampa and stayed 2 nights here. The hotel was beautiful. We got the king suite and the room was huge. Very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Beautiful bathroom with a big shower. We were greeted by Gary who was very friendly and informative. We took advantage of the free breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The pancake machine was really cool, you press a button and within 1 minute you get 2 delicious pancakes. Monica who helped out with the breakfast is the sweetest woman ever. I spent 2 hours at the pool. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature for the hot days. They also have towels by the pool so you don't have to bring the ones from your room. The location is perfect. It took us about 8 minutes to get to and from the airport. There are a ton of choices for restaurants and fast food within minutes of the hotel. We plan on visiting again and will definitely be staying here for our next visits. Thank you Gary and Monica for helping make our experience as wonderful as it could be!!
New Hotel, Roomy, nice mattress. Greatest Breakfast! Clean and attentive to details. Only one problem, my credit card got captured at the front desk. Didn't find out until getting back home. It was a business trip. Only place I used that card for "Checking in and possible Essentials for the Room" as they put it. When I called, and explained. I was transferred to Vanessa and the call was conveniently dropped. Guess I'll try another place next trip. Rooms: Nice with basic items Safety: Large lit parking lot with front entrance right off of the lot Walkability: Plentiful places close by to eat or shop
My son and I stayed two nights for a concert that was in town. The hotel was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was really good with a good variety. The breakfast attendant was super nice. The only issue was the pool closed way too early. It is ridiculous to close the pool at sundown when people are in Florida on vacation and would like to be able to relax at the pool after dinner.
Vanessa Rodriguez needs to be fired from this location. I’ve already explained to the higher-ups an Holiday Inn management, that she needs to be excommunicated from the shop due to her unreliable and obtuse remarks on Google, and in person. conversations with irritation, or certain adulation in her voice, the arrogance and the quorum of how she conducts herself is downright despicable. For a person who represents a brand of a hotels, she should have more decor when she speaks and how she talks, this does not reflect the companies attitude or altitude and because of this, she has lost her place in this great deception of what we call management. She is deceivable and will definitely be obtuse and abrasive. This is despicable in this should not be represented by any company.
Staying here was a great experience for my family and I! The ADA amenities for our short stay were substantial, plus the hotel staff were very kind and helpful during my trip. Thank you so much to Ashish and Gary for your generous hospitality; you both went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! Rooms: Rooms are spacious and clean. The sizing in ADA rooms are generously large Nearby activities: Bars and lots of easy to eat / shop in the area. Almost didn’t have a need for a car, Uber and being on foot was bearable despite the heat Walkability: The area is well paved and accessible for someone in a wheelchair
I don't like leaving reviews on hotels because i realize that people will have different experiences at different times and may not be the same experience I have. In this particular case I felt the need to leave one so that first and foremost the hotel will be sure this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future and second to make people aware and to be sure they keep an eye out for things in their room. We checked into the hotel later than we wanted to but it was due to us spending all afternoon in orlando at disney springs. We flew into tampa airport but we traveled to other parts of florida during our time there. We chose this hotel since we were flying out the next morning and it is a newer hotel and it was close to the airport. Let me start by saying the lady who checked us in was very nice and understood why we left less than an hour after checking in. The hotel is not very old at all lil over a year old I believe so keep that in mind. We went up to our room and first thing we always do is check our beds to be sure there are no bed bugs or anything else crawling in the bed and the beds were fine no issues with that. We checked the bathroom and it was fine and we wanted to be sure the room had been dusted and cleaned and that seemed fine. We only took out of our suitcases what we needed for the night and next morning. I grabbed a shower and put on my pajamas and laid on the bed watching tv. My friend was was eating left over lunch from earlier in the day and i was about to go to sleep and my eyes were tired and didn't have my glasses on and I looked up on the wardrobe and thought I saw something but wasn't sure so I got up and there was a roach crawling across the top of the wardrobe. I mashed it with a napkin and found a few more crawling in the corner of the room. We were not going to stay after seeing that. We packed up and decided to find another hotel. We went downstairs and I took the napkin with the roach in it and showed her at the front desk and told her we were not staying and I wanted to speak to the manager but they were not there since it was getting close 9pm at this point. She suggested I call next day but we had an early and long travel day the next day so I had to wait until monday morning to contact the hotel. This is where I have the issue with the hotel. I spoke to 2 different ppl over the next 4 days and was told that the general manager would contact me and I never heard from the manager at all. They refunded my stay which Im very grateful for since it was a pest issue. They didn't seem to take it very seriously and I kept hearing from the people I spoke to they have never seen that in the hotel before and that its a new hotel. I feel that if you have a pest issue that it needs to be taken very seriously and the general manager should have contacted me after me leaving several messages with the hotel. I even called after I saw the refund to try to speak to them and never received a call back. This is unacceptable and poor customer service in my opinion. I sincerely hope that they have taken measures to be sure this doesn't happen again. Sad to say I will not stay with a holiday inn anymore because this wasn't the first time having issues with this hotel brand in another state and that one had a spider infestation. Please be sure to check your room thoroughly in all corners, drawers, closets, beds, everywhere when staying at any hotel but especially at the holiday inn brand hotels. Like I said in the beginning I don't usually leave reviews but felt after all my years of traveling and this being the second bad experience with the brand within 6 months it was necessary. Just for timeline purpose we stayed in Feb this year.
Like many others there this weekend, we stayed here to catch a spring training game at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The location is extremely convenient and with Chipotle next door that is open until 11pm, we were very comfortable. Gary and Vanessa were balls of sunshine at the front desk. Very helpful and friendly, as were The rest of the front desk staff. The breakfast offered is amazing. Plenty of hot and cold options, and a pancake maker! Rosa, one of the women who works the breakfast hours is SO kind and goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience possible. I found the room to be squeaky clean and very comfortable. Great layout. I do wish they had towel hooks closer to the shower. They encourage to reuse towels to save water which I love, but then there aren’t really spots to hang a shower towel. Also walls are a little thin but the clientele seems more adult and mature so it wasn’t much of an issue. Nearby activities: Single A baseball stadium and NFL stadium nearby
No weapons allowed on property? Does this rule apply to non law-abiding citizens or just law-abiding citizens? Do you really believe criminals will follow this RULE if they are not willing to follow the LAWS. If so, how many armed security guards do you have on site willing to protect my family's lives? Gun free zones give criminals with illegal firearms more power over citizens who have a constitutional right to bear arms and protect their persons and property. I'll be staying at the Hilton tonight.
Great Holiday Inn, it's less than a year old. All the ladies that work there were really nice. It's walking distance from Raymond James Stadium. The breakfast was great.Rooms: 5/5
The manager Vanessa Rodriguez was completely rude, does not have control over her emotions and should not be in a management position with her attitude towards paying customers. I have filed an official complaint with corporate for her behavior. Replying to Vanessa’s response below. I was in no way unwilling to abide by policy. I was simply trying to speak to you on the phone and you hung up on me, remember? Your policy could have been communicated to me in a respectful manner but you cut me off mid sentence and said “since I am an employee I should know better” and then hung up on me. I am a paying customer and you wouldn’t listen to me and treated me very rudely. You could have “sincerely” apologized to me on the phone and handled yourself better but you chose not to. But thank you for your non apology and for illustrating my point. Do better.
