signing up for FACES was by far one of my best decisions ever. It was an amazing and educational experience. I highly recommend anyone who wants to take their makeup skills and education to a professional level to join this class. Lisa was a great instructor and I will miss seeing her every week. Marsha and Denyse were so supportive as well and so helpful with the process. I absolutely recommend Faces Makeup Design school to anyone who has the passion to be a makeup artist and wants to become a professional. I was so excited when I saw Faces offers an online course but was sceptic on how much I would learn being online. The class surpassed my expectations. Our instructor Lisa was so passionate and thorough throughout each lesson. We learned everything from techniques for different eye shapes, face, & complexion to bridal, skin care, FX, and the most important- proper and professional sanitization. I feel confident booking jobs and beginning my journey as a makeup artist. :
I had a truly amazing experience as a student at FACES. I knew makeup was something I wanted to pursue, but had no idea where to start. FACES was exactly what I was looking for, a makeup based education, unlike cosmetology school. Truly thankful to the owners for opening this place. I’ve learned so much about the professional and business side of makeup artistry as much as the aesthetic side. My education felt complete and well rounded which gives me confidence in saying I am now a certified makeup artist. I totally recommend FACES for anyone interested in learning about makeup artistry and becoming a certified makeup artist!
Faces makeup design academy is absolutely wonderful. I graduated from the school in the beginning of 2019 with more confidence than I had on my first day there. Creative freedom is praised which helps create a great learning environment and the ability to learn your own style.
What can I say? This was such an amazing class. I thought I was decent at doing makeup, but taking this class made me realize I only knew my face. Now I can confidently do makeup on others. The class is small so you get that One on One attention, and believe me you want that. One major thing that stood out to me was there is no such thing as “I can’t” when going here. Marsha and Joann would work with you and motivate you On whatever you were struggling on and help you until you were confident in Saying “I can”. So if you want a great makeup education with one of the best instructors, who has been in the cosmetology field and knows her stuff Marsha was a previous instructor of mine when I went for my cosmetology license, then you need to go to Faces Makeup Academy. You will truly gain amazing knowledge and confidence. Thank you Marsha, Denise, and Joann!!
I received my certification from here a couple days ago and it was a great experience. The class was held online due COVID-19, but I still felt like I was physically in class. The teachers were knowledgeable and I learned something new every day. I highly recommend FACES if you want to become a certified makeup artist!
Faces changed my life, I have always loved makeup but never knew what to do with it, or where to go or if I was good enough. Faces’ program with Lisa and Marsha at the helm was the best decision I’ve ever made, it was fun, pushed me to a new limit on a new level, and helped me explore a passion I’ve had since I was 13 years old. The techniques I’ve learned, the projects I did it was all just AMAZING! I am forever grateful for this program and for Faces!! Thank you for helping me make my dreams come true!!
The experience I had at FACES was definitely one I will always cherish and remember. It has helped me as a makeup Artist and it’s also helped my business grow. I’ve learned so much from my instructor whether it was techniques, trends, portfolios, contracts, and sanitation among many other things that I’ve picked up. The importance of such simple things make the biggest impact on a make up application and running a business. And of course you wouldn’t learn that without taking this class or watching videos posted on YouTube. There’s always more to makeup. We also got a beautiful kit filled with so much makeup that I loved playing around with even when I wasn’t in class. My instructor was amazing and the owners were so sweet and accommodating which made me love this class even more.. and of course the girls I got to meet and become so close with helped as well. I was dedicated to this class. I work 9-5 at a corporate job and I always had makeup as a passion but never did anything with it until I joined Faces. I left work from Princeton and then trekked home to Old Bridge and then redid it 2 more times during the week for 9 weeks. And it was worth it. Since I’ve become Certified, I’ve been able to better promote myself with the skills they’ve taught me to use which has brought me clientele that has me working on weekends doing especially what I love! My skill level has also grown and I’m always interested in learning new techniques. Coming from someone who actually took the class, I’ve learned that anyone can become a makeup artist but this class motivates you to become better at what you do and how to do it. Whether it’s doing SFX, natural, bridal, avant- garde, body painting or just keeping with the trends. If you’re considering joining Faces, you’re making the right decision and if you’re passionate about makeup, you won’t be disappointed.
