FACTORY WEST is an art studio/gallery and social club opening in the heart of West Hollywood at 7811 Santa Monica Blvd. This revolutionary new venue, which opens this February, redefines the notion of creative space, reviving the spirit of pop art icon Andy Warhol’s legendary New York City studio, The Factory.
By day, FACTORY WEST functions as both a live studio and gallery for renowned contemporary street/pop artist, Louis Carreon. One of Louis’ direct influences is Jean-Michel Basquiat, a disciple of Warhol’s,” says Louis’ manager and FACTORY WEST founder Chris Hemerlein, “in this sense, Louis’ work and vision for this space not only embodies the very spirit of the original Factory but brings its legacy in a fresh and exciting direction.” “This has been a long-time vision of Louis’” adds Chris “and we are thrilled to finally be bringing it to life.”
By night, FACTORY WEST becomes home to some of the most exclusive events, private dinners and art parties in Los Angeles. “Attendance will be by invite and membership only” says Chris.
FACTORY WEST will also offer patrons and guests a selection of high-end cocktails compliments of Marquis Vodka in the Libertine Lounge - a space within FACTORY WEST that encourages revelry while paying tribute to free thinkers and artists alike. “We are incredibly excited to be working with Marquis Vodka as The Libertine Lounge will quite literally be our own dedicated cocktail bar for FACTORY WEST,” says Chris. “The vision for this part of FACTORY WEST flows directly from the ideas formed during the legendary parties Warhol was famous for throwing in his New York City studio.”
FACTORY WEST is the premiere social destination in Los Angeles for forward-thinking creators in the industries of art, music, fashion, entertainment and culture. FACTORY WEST will be opening in West Hollywood this February at 7811 Santa Monica Blvd.
