FAHI is a local grass root organization formed for the purpose of creating a living institution that celebrates the past, current and future history of the Fayette Street Corridor and its surrounding communities. FAHI's approach to understanding local history is action-oriented. A Strong emphasis is placed on black celebration, historical preservation and economic development.
Our mission is the creation of a community perspective that encourages people to examine their history so that out of the strengths of their past they can create an increased capacity to develop a brighter future for themselves and their community.
