I dreaded going to assisted living. It was a depressing thought. After almost 2 weeks I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone treated me with kindness. The room was clean, the bed sheets were clean and changed often. The kitchen accommodated my wishes as much as they could. As a result I act enjoyed the interactions with custodians, LVNs, nurses, and physical therapists, occupational therapists 0ffice Management . I actually had a very good time and would highly recommend Eskaton Fair Oaks if you or loved ones need Assisted Living Care. Thumbs up and 5 stars!. Ron
It’s a facade! The nurses, CNA’s and Physical Therapists act as if they care but they don’t execute on anything. Mother in Law was admitted with a known COVID positive case nearby and clinical staff neglected protocols and protections for patients. They also never bathed her as requested for multiple days even on the scheduled days and neglected to put on bedside rails on a fall risk patient. Ugh!!!! Facility was dirty too! Mother in law has now been admitted to the hospital due to COVID. If you have Kaiser choose Casa Coloma in Rancho Cordova instead… we visited them after the fact and should have chosen this one instead. Do not make the same mistake!!!
Place is disgusting! They are very dirty the place smells it looks like they never clean the carpet stains everywhere. To top this off my mom caught Covid. They placed my high risk 85 year old mother who is trying to recover from a stroke right next door to a patient with COVID!!!
My husband was a patient here at Eskaton in Fair Oaks, California. He initially was admitted to the rehab wing, then transferred to B Wing known as Barrington. The care he received there was exemplary! For several months he needed 24-hour supervision as he kept trying to walk, which would result in a fall. They cheerfully kept someone with him at all times to keep him safe. Then, as his health declined, they continued to treat him as a valued family member until his final breath. Special kudos to Indi, B Wing supervisor; Chrissie; Unique; the activities staff, and Angela at the front desk. Thank you all for the excellent care.
This care center did a great job in caring for our close friend during his recent decline and passing. The Barrington Unit was particularly caring, comforting and kind. I was there very often and was able to observe first hand what a wonderful job they do taking care of the residents no matter what their level of health. Very grateful for their service.
My father in law was at Eskaton Fair Oaks for 2 months. The staff were amazing with him and his care. They were very friendly and went out of there way to make the whole family feel welcome. They even let my 9 year old son come race cars with grandpa while grandma played the piano. Thank you Eskaton Fair Oaks for taking such good care of my family. You are amazing!!!
DONT WORK HERE! I worked here for a 2 days and my Catalytic converter got stolen from their parking lot, Other employees said their cars got broken into as well.I wouldn’t recommend putting your family or friends in this facility because, Most of the CNA’s don’t truly care about their residents and Residents jewelry and clothing items will end up missing.
The staff in this facility has been consistently wonderful in the loving care that they have given to my mother and the manner in which they communicate and deal with our family members. In the 10 months that our mother has been a resident here, we have been extremely pleased with this facility and the caregivers. It looks clean, smells clean and the residents seem happy and well-cared for.
Jan. 12, 2018 WARNING !!! Please do not place your loved one here. When you challenge the "social worker" on the lack of care your loved one is receiving, they fake revoke your power of attorney, make up false statements about you and then withhold you visiting or talking on the phone to your loved one. It took me two years and a lawyer to be able to visit. I just found out the the "social worker" has decided to play lawyer and have my grandma who can not speak or really understand sign her house over to another family member that has not had anything to do with grandma for 12 years, until now, because they are broke and want money. The "social worker' was even disrespectful to my lawyer and for this whole amount of time my grandma has not been allowed to get out to see her dermatologist to receive care for her on going issue with skin cancer. Your loved one is better off anywhere else, ANYWHERE ELSE!!! UPDATE - Feb. 11 2018 When my grandma entered Eskaton the social was informed that my grandma had the beginning stage of kidney failure and would/could need dialysis, due to the lack of care my grandma is in stage 4 of kidney failure. My Grandma was NEVER taken to the doctor for care, Eskaton let her get this bad. PLEASE, DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONE GET PLACED HERE!!!
facilites are old and dirty. nurses could use some manners. left patient waiting for over an hour after they hit the call button. shame on kaiser for contracting with them. The only positive from tonight was Chase, the CNA.
