All of the employees are a delight to work with - friendly, patient, and professional. The workmanship is prefect. The cushions were completed before the expected time frame. I rediscovered Fairchild Fine Furniture I only passed by it a million times when it came time to get an estimate on recovering a simple bench cushion. I was greeted by the affable proprietor, whose family has been in the business for generations. I had gotten an estimate from another upholsterer which was out of my price range and didn’t quite seem fair considering the work involved. I got the distinct impression that they really didn’t want to do the job— which of course, is their prerogative. In the world of furniture— add the word custom, and the price multiplies exponentially. It’s fast becoming the realm of the rich & famous. Not true with Fairchild. He gave me what I thought was a fair price. They completed the project within the estimated time and did a beautiful job. Enter, vintage 40’s chrome chair. They had a great selection of fabric for just about every budget. This project required a bit more finesse and the folks at Fairchild didn’t disappoint; from start to finish including the delivery team that picked-up and delivered, it was a stellar experience. A big thank you from the little guy.
