Welcome to Fairfield Elementary, where our staff is committed to providing a quality education for our students. Opening in 1980, Fairfield is home to approximately 500 kindergarten through fourth grade students. We are one of 7 elementary buildings in the Pickerington Local School District.
We are looking forward to an exciting year at Fairfield, and recognize that education consists of both academic preparation and the acquisition of skills necessary to become a productive citizen. Our focus will continue to be child-centered with teachers providing rigorous and relevant instruction to meet the needs of the 21st Century Learner.
Parents are valued members of our school community, and we recognize that in order for our students to be successful, we must create a relationship with our students’ parents. All parents are encouraged to attend parent/teacher conferences and get involved in the education of their children. Our PTO is an integral part of the Fairfield Family. The PTO supports our students and staff through many activities throughout the year. All parents are encouraged to participate in the PTO.
In order to promote a safe and effective school environment, the following two rules are the focus of student behavioral expectations at Fairfield:
Respect yourself, others and your school.
Conduct yourself in a way that will not keep adults from teaching and you and others from learning.
These rules are emphasized daily on our morning announcements through the message of the day.
