Fairfield Lodge #553

It's been more than 13 years since we stayed at the Fairfield Lodge, but I still remember Susan, the owner. She was very nice. We arrived quite late, so she left a key where we could find it, and we let ourselves in. Actually checked in the next morning. Stayed two nights while visiting Gettysburg. If you like a firm bed, this is the place for you!

The room was filthy, outdated and small. The toilet in the bathroom was broken. When it was time to leave I had to wait over 2 hours for someone to show up who could take my money. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are better deals online in Gettysburg that are at least clean. I should have known better when I rode by with only one car there.

Aweful. The room was filthy and they were rude to my mom; how anyone can be rude to such a sweet woman is beyond me. I checked it out in advance and the room I saw seemed fine, but not so the rooms my family stayed at. Seems we were deceived purposely, but regardless of that no one gets a favorable review who is unkind to my mother. There are plenty of wonderful and convenient places to stay in this beautiful area; no sense wasting your time with this place.

Ok for one night. Carpets are dirty. One of the beds broke the moment we sat on it. This was in room 8 just to you know. The bed to the inside of the room. They only had decaf coffee. Good place to sleep if you are not picky. Not bad for the lowest priced motel in the Gettysburg area.

The room was nice and comfortable. Everything was clean. Nothing to complain about. It was very average. The main office is in the white house but its not really an office. You ring the door bell. They open the door. And you walk into a foyer that has a table. That's all the further you go. You dont even really get through the door. Regardless, it was nice. And theres a drop box for your keys by the door. I would definitely stay here again.

Carpets are sticky, walls are paper thin and we heard ever word the kids next to us said. They left the tv on all night and we got to hear that too. Shower paint was flaking off. The beds were reasonably clean. The manager records all of your credit card details in an insecure book. I would avoid this place if you can, but it will work in a pinch.

We found this hidden gem at the very last minute. The location is close to Gettysburg attractions without being surrounded by the busy city. Price was reasonable and we were able to check in quickly to a very clean room. Will most likely be back and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a close, but out of the city stay!

Nice enough, specially for the price and convenient location. The downsides were: One of the beds was broken. You can definitely see and feel it. Luckily we didn't need the other bed. The neighboring room... OMG were they loud. Kids screaming in crying, females screaming back, in and out of the room, more yelling.... horrible!

Great price for a motor Lodge car parked just outside door. Minimum amenities and paper thin walls means you pay for what you get. Your neighbors' noise level will determine the quality of your stay. We got lucky and had a family who went to bed early.

We were very pleased with the room, clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom was very clean. Friendly service. Will be staying here again when in the area. Price suited our needs.
