My husband passed in January due to Covid. It was a very difficult time, trying to figure out what I needed to do to take care of everything that needed to be done. When I called Fairhaven, I was greeted by Leslie Greer. I knew right then, that she was the person I needed to work with. Leslie was so kind and understanding about everything that needed to be done. She explained all of my options and always with so much compassion. I waited until October to do the service, but Leslie was so patient. I was trying to wait until most of our friends had been vaccinated before I held a service. Leslie made suggestions and showed me samples of the options for the service displaying Joe’s special interests, chapel and reception set ups, catering, etc.. When the day of the service arrived, everything was absolutely beautiful! The service and reception were exactly what I had wanted. I can’t thank Fairhaven, and especially Leslie, enough, for being there at such a painful time in my life. It was comforting knowing that even though it wasn’t part of her job, Leslie let me know she had been praying for me throughout her time with me. I know if you’re reading this, you have some very difficult days ahead of you. I also know that the staff at Fairhaven, and Leslie, in particular, will help you to get through some of your needs at this difficult time. May God bless you and comfort you.
Fairhaven Memorial was nothing short of a blessing. From the initial phone consult to the day of my husbands memorial I cannot express the amount of gratitude I give to the staff and place. Ashley and Patty deserve so much praise as well as the rest of the staff for their sincere compassion and dedication to their roles. I am young and I had to take on so much after my husband passed. Ashley made me feel so appreciated and she truly grasped every detail and vision I had for my husbands service. Walking through the table and seeing all the love that was poured into it is something I will be forever grateful for. Thank you thank you to everyone at Fairhaven for making this day so special for my kids and myself and I will never forget the team at Fairhaven
My Mother passed away recently and we decided to have her services at Fairhaven. Staff were very nice and helpful with the arrangements. The day before the ceremony there was a bit of misunderstanding about the time allowed for us to setup and the gentleman speaking to me was a bit harsh, but apologized when he found out he was wrong. The day of ceremony is when the unraveling began. A little over an hour before we were to start, I was made aware that the AV equipment was not working properly. Instead of using their projector and the very nice and big screen, we got a monitor. Sound system down, two portable speakers were used. Microphone did not work, and we were given a backup microphone that went in and out. All this right before the ceremony. I understand “things” can happen, but I never received an apology. I even went there the day after to pickup an item, and no apologies came my way. I was promised a live cast of the event which I passed along to out of state relatives and friends…With all that was happening, I forgot all about it, but again, nothing was mentioned to me about it - no reminders. After the arrival of many guests, I realized memory book we had paid for was not out there…Staff member argued that it wasn’t part of our agreement, and finally upon my insistence, one was brought out. The ceremony ended up being fine, but I’m very disappointed about the mishaps, and most importantly, the lack of any apology.
Professional staff. Very high level of care and professionalism. All costs and details were clearly communicated. From first appointment all the way to gravesite, the staff were caring and professional. The whole day was honorable and memorable. The staff know how to take the stress and pressure off of families in grief and take care if everything. Everything went so smoothly. I definitely recommend them!
I recently lost my mother and went to Fairhaven as we had used them previously. I was delighted to again be working with Greta. What an awesome, caring individual. She took her time explaining options and recommending avenues to lessen the overall charges. She was communicative and responsive to my needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Fairhaven as a result. It was such a phenomenal and great experience dealing with the entire team ! Ashley was so very understanding and compassionate. She listened attentively to all our needs . The make up artist Emily who did my mom’s was great ! Mom was so beautiful! Sean was so helpful as well . Our entire experience was beyond what we expected: from Ashley to the burial site …, Sean, the driver and the 2 ladies were so professional and great !
A beautiful memorial venue with outstanding services from the beginning to the end! The Fairhaven Memorial Services in Mission Viejo truly deserves all its 5 star reviews. The management and staff are simply outstanding and they all go the extra mile or two to make your memorial event very easy to arrange and then perform it when the time comes. Arranging for memorial services for a loved one ahead of time without knowing when it is needed, is a rather emotional and complicated task. We had to go through this for my father-in-law last December and we did some research to select a memorial services organization in Orange County. We soon realized that this is not an easy task and there so many factors involved including the quality of the venue itself, religious washing ceremony, selection of casket, flowers, audio/video devices for the ceremony, streaming the ceremony for people who can not attend, cost, and above all customer service. We narrowed down our search to three memorial services and Fairhaven Memorial Services in Mission Viejo was the clear winner based on all the factors mentioned above. Beautiful venue with flexible number of seats, availability of religious washing ceremony, a nice selection of caskets at very reasonable prices, availability of audio/video devices and streaming the ceremony, very reasonable cost compared to others, and excellent customer service. Mrs. Barton was extremely nice, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful in preparing the contract for us in December. She explained everything involved and revised the contract a few times to make it perfect for us. Mr. Michael Alarcon, Managing Partner, was simply outstanding and provided 100% support all along and made our memorial services in September a nice and comfortable event without any issues. Michael was extremely nice, friendly, courteous, and helpful. Mrs. Royster was our Case Manager in charge of organizing and managing the memorial event to ensure everything will go well, and everything went very well. She was a joy to work with. Finally, Emily also helped and supported us on the memorial day and she was super nice, friendly, and helpful. We were extremely happy with the Fairhaven Memorial Services in Mission Viejo and highly recommend their services to our friends and relatives! My family and i cannot say enough wonderful words about Fairhaven. The whole team took care of our needs/wants from start to finish. Our questions were never left unanswered. We are forever grateful for the exceptional level of care we received. I would highly recommend Fairhaven.
I am beyond grateful for the team at Fairhaven Memorial Services. Every team member is kind, sympathetic, professional, and adept. When my father, Jeffrey Grisham, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, our family was in complete shock, but the team at Fairhaven supported us throughout the turbulent subsequent weeks. Greta Windisch, Office Manager and Family Service Counselor, is compassionate, good-humored, helpful, understanding, patient, and warm-hearted. She really cared for Jeffrey, our family, and particularly, my Mother. For my Mother she was a counselor, an event organizer, hospitable funeral home director, and so much more. She truly went above and beyond anything we could have asked for. During introductions, visitations, and meetings, Patty was always there to greet us, walk with us, and host us. She provided much needed comfort in these small, but frequent moments. For Jeffrey's Celebration of Life, Hailey, Chris, Josh, and Greta did an astonishing job preparing for the service. On the day-of, I showed up early to test out technical aspects and I observed their preparations. I can confidently say that they have the best "we can/will make it happen" attitude. Furthermore, Hailey, Chris, and Josh did a superb job ensuring the event went smoothly.  I was also the primary family contact during the event and I worked closely with them. I'm amazed by their flexibility, adaptability, and accommodations. For those reading this to help inform their decision of a funeral home and/or service, I highly recommend Fairhaven Memorial Services because of their exemplary team. To everyone at Fairhaven, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you, for everything. The Grisham Family.
