Nice state park with great views. All hook ups for RVs and nice trails. Beautiful scenery along the river.
This is what south Louisiana charm looks like! Beautiful and quaint park. Site were fairly level and the park was clean and well kept. Our check-in was perfect! Mary took wonderful care of us and got us into the perfect spot.
Stayed Feb 2023 in a Roadtrek Class B for 2 nights. Level sites. Beautiful bathrooms were individual units with toilet, sink and shower. Nice laundry facility. I would have given a 5 star but vent fans in shower not working and the only toilets available were in the showers. Really need an additional restroom area in addition to the three shower rooms 3 men/3women. Hosts were very nice! Check in was a breeze. Nice playground area. Boardwalk through swamp was a nice walk. Historic home to tour on grounds but not open while we were here. Both Sites we were on were wet/marshy in areas while we were here but I’m sure that’s a rain issue. Would stay again!
Nice place right on the river. The boardwalk that is on the river is rotten and you can't walk on it to fish. One small trail called "swamp trail" is just a small loop. Only 6 spots have sewage hookups. Ideal place if you have a kayak or boat.
As others have already said, this is a beautiful park! We stayed only one night as we were traveling through but would have enjoyed staying to see the historical site if possible. It was in a great location, bath houses well maintained, and convenient to the interstate and the city. Yet the park was secluded without road noise.
Nice park near Madisonville and Mandeville. Both towns have good seafood restaurants. The parking pads are paved, but narrow. Bathrooms could be cleaner, but they are climate controlled. Playground: Playground is very nice. Restrooms: There are 3 individual mens rooms and ladies rooms. They are roomy and air conditioned, but could be cleaner.
Rent your trailer from Phil's RV in Covington, LA or buy, service. This park is clean, quiet with great staff members! Great place!
Annual Crawfish boil. A real nice park, clean. We get the pavilion every year.
First time here with our new camper. It's beautiful out here! Make a reservation before going tho. The ladies in the office were great help. Will go back there. Playground: Very clean place. Restrooms: Nice and clean. Dog-friendliness: Yes can bring the fur babies Picnic area: Can picnic almost anywhere
Beautiful state park. It had been raining the day before we came and our spot #61 did not drain very well and was quite muddy. The view was quite lovely of the river and the moss covered trees. Overall a great experience!
