This place is beautiful! Trail are breathtaking. Water falls are spectacular! Beautiful views of the Hudson River! Great place to hike!
Very nice place. Don't expect too much. This isn't a big waterfall. Just a cute little spot. The walk through the woods is beautiful and relaxing.
It’s a beautiful trail, lots of shade, lots of parking, and only free ppl roaming around, 3 trail options, I did all 3, and enjoyed the strategically placed sitting benches, peppered around the trail,Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
What a wonderful find with beautiful fall scenery. Nice hike along the water, alittle slippery with wet leaves on the ground, so be careful. On loop back to parking, the terrain is easier and level. I'd say it was about 1.5 miles of walking. Dogs are allowed and I did see a few. It is carry in/ carry out, so please don't litter.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
A great hiking experience at Saugerties, NY Staying connected with nature is an instinct that all humans have. Falling Waters Preserve is a great experience to connect with nature. This is a quick hike for the family or for a solo traveller.
A great trail for some outdoor exercise and/or take a small lunch to have a bite next to the peaceful falling water. I’ve been down all pathways the red trail goes to the small falls and the others have more Hudson river views! The red and white trail run into one another so you can take a different path back. Free parking lot and benches for rests. I don’t suggest strollers because it’s flat enough but very bumpy. Pet welcome with leash too! Photos of upper red trail!
Really nice walk by water. A little steep but safe to walk my high strung pup still. Trail markers so it doesn't get confusing as well.
Very pleasant walk that attracts considerate people and well-behaved dogs. Several marked trails sheltered by woods offer gentle views of the Hudson River. During low tide you can descend to the water's edge and see the water chestnuts. Please remember to bring a trash bag to help remove litter.
Wonderful trails. Not too short, not too long, not too easy, not too strenuous. I went in the winter, and the views of the Hudson were stunning.
Falling Waters Preserve was very peaceful. It was a fairly easy walk with some inclines but mostly flat areas. Sitting on the benches near the waterfalls was a nice midway resting spot. There were two such areas. It was a windy day when we walked but the trees protected us from the wind.
