I hope Jen the manager got to smack that one guy at her Patchogue store in any event she's a great manager and does a great job .
So fun@!! It's not Nordstrom, but if u wanna come home with a cart full of stuff for 30 bucks then go to Family Dollar. It's fun. ish.... I go for these things in particular; Lemmon ammonia. Can't find it anywhere else, it's a buck and a quarter, and I use a half cup or so to put in with my laundry detergent when a wash a leaf of laundry. Cuts grease and makes the detergent lay longer. and by the way, your clothes will NOT smell like ammonia. Especially if you put a few dryer sheets in the dryer with ur clothes Buy the dryer sheets here as well! Slippers/moccasins and flip flops. They go fast cause they're only a dollar. Gift bags, ribbon, etc. Duct tape, Scotch tape, batteries. Things you mite need to hang pictures on your wall. Pajamas. Got the picture? Hope this helps!!
Not the best looking Family Dollar and not in the best area but I will say almost everyone who works there is great. I forget their names but the girl in the Morning and the girl in the evening also the young gentleman are so polite and nice. I can’t say enough good things about them. They all deserve a raise. This is great customer service.
I had one bad experience and thought it was just that… one bad experience that happened at the end of the day when both me and the manager were probably tired overworked and in bad spirits. Today is a new day and it happened again. They continue to leave the wrong prices on the shelf, old sales signs on the shelf, the prices that are A LOT more then the price they are ringing you up for at the register, good ol inflation but you can’t leave old prices on the shelf like that, it’s lazy and it’s called false advertising, you should be honoring those prices until you fix the issue. I really think until they receive the proper signage they should have printouts all around the store that say “due to inflation a lot of items went up in price, signs on the shelf might not reflect the current price of the product, sorry for in the inconvenience”… obviously wording can be better but I’m not Shakespeare… but you get my point. I have an extremely tight budget for me and my family and I suspect many who shop here do too, there needs to be more compassion, most people are freaking out over a couple bucks bc it’s literally all they have :.
The most disorganized store things In clearance n when u go to register they say that’s not clearance meanwhile more then 10 pieces of the same item in the clearance section. The store worker “sheyenne “ the name she gave me was rude and said I don’t know what to tell u it’s regular price rude n loud. Def not good customer service or training in customer service. SHE NEEDS TO BE TRAINED. NEVER WILL I SHOP THERE AGAIN THEY NEED LOTS OF 101 customer service training. I don’t recommend this location go else where.
Any chain merchant that doesn't have a public restroom is a one star, especially when it's due to the fact that it's "very dangerous". This means you knowingly expose your employees to hazardous conditions. Make it make it sense.
Good value for your money just like every other Family Dollar. Caution - not all items are $1 as the name would lead you to believe. But relatively inexpensive products and decent deals abound. You will probably spend more than you intended and feel like you made out like a bandit anyway. Pleasant staff. The store is well stocked but has a cluttered feel and could definitely use maintenance or floor space design to alleviate this problem.
The products are inexpensive hence the name. There are some good values to be found, if you are willing to take time to look for them. My daughter worked a summer job at a similar store nearby, and found the work environment pleasant, much better than another summer job at a local movie theater.
The price is very convenient for the public, and always worth the money. The store is well maintained and love the jazz music playing in the background to let the customer concentrate on what items to purchase.
Rude managers Check the dates on your items a lot expired or about to Dirty and or messy through out most of the store
