FAMILY MEDICAL CENTER was established in 1988 by Bart Kolste, MD.. The goal of Family Medical Center was to establish a medical practice that treats patients in all ages and stages of life, with dignity, compassion and quality medical care. Helping Dr. Kolste achieve that goal is Carol Packard, PA-C, who joined us in 1990. James Plate, M.D. partnered with us in 1998, and after working 16 years, retired in May of 2014. Amber Reynolds-Lorentz, PA-C joined us in 2016. We are currently in the process of recruiting a new physician to replace Dr. Plate.
On September 1, 2014, Family Medical Center merged with Midlands Healthcare Group. They are located in North Platte, NE. This merger has ensured the viability of Family Medical Center, and the continuation of quality medical care for our patients.
We offer in house x-ray and CLIA waived labs, helping us provide a complete spectrum of health care services. Family Medical Center continues to partner with Perkins County Hospital, in Grant, and Great Plains Health, in North Platte.
