Great experience! Our wine tasting guide was very informative and knowledgeable about the winery and its offerings. They take a very personal approach, which I very much enjoyed. We also had a bit of cheese to pair with our wine and were seated by a lovely fountain. This tasting was how every wine tasting should be. Highly recommend!
Fantastic wine tasting with caves tour and food pairing. Michael was our guide, and he was knowledgeable, funny, and generous. The experience was wonderful. Learning about the history of this special vintage winery from 1883 and the building and historic caves. The wines we got were rich and full and the tasting garden near the pond is just amazing. Unforgettable.
This place is so beautiful, the garden and the flowers are gorgeous!!! The wine was so good, had a great time during our tasting. Kate our tour lady is very knowledgeable and made us enjoy our time. Far Niente was our favorite winery from this trip. Marco, our host, was very kind and knowledgeable. Learned so much about the estate, estates, etc. We loved our tasting flight Chardonnay and 16 Cabernet are simply the best and purchased a bottle. Their gardens are also beautiful and private. Would love to return
I was not familiar with this winery but it was recommended to us. I can’t thank that person enough. Truly a special place with a long history and beautiful property. The tour of the property included the caves which were amazing. Being able to see wines back to the 80’s and how the branding has changed was fascinating. Our guide, Curt, was knowledgeable about both the wine and surrounding area. Curt really made the tour something special. The sampling was of high quality and lead to us purchasing bottles on the spot.

The drive into the winery was picturesque and peaceful-away from the busy highway. We are greeted by someone with a glass of wine-our host Sean, was so nice and very generous with various tastings and revisiting wines we enjoyed. The grounds and winery was so beautiful. We had such a great experience-highly recommended!
Beautiful winery! The wines are wonderful but being able to book a tasting and see the grounds makes the experience and visit magical!
My wife and I were really looking forward to our tasting at Far Niente and we were not disappointed. From being welcomed by Carson drats, we just missed Beth Nickel to the lovely garden setting and the glorious weather, the ambiance was a winner. But what proved a real winner, OK OK the wines, but also Carlix our host. He explained just enough history of the winery and explanations of the wines to make it informative and interesting. Since we spend a lot of time in Europe we had a lively debate about the cost of wines and why in both places. While Napa wines in general and Far Niente in particular are significantly more expensive than equal counterparts in Bordeaux or Burgundy they maintain a character that makes them irresistible. We ended up becoming members so what started as a simple tasting ran into a few bucks. We couldn't have been treated better nor left happier.
First the property is beyond beautiful! The tasting was outside and had heaters along with blankets if needed. It was near a little pond. The wine was so wonderful and they paired it great. We enjoyed this place and will go back. The staff was so good with hospitality and knowledge.
