I grew up on a farm in southern MN near Fairmont, where I developed my work ethic and values. I met my wife, Joyce, when I was attending Worthington Jr. College. We married, and I finished my education at Bemidji State with an elementary ed. major. I enjoyed teaching for 5 years in Hastings, MN.
