Where did our story begin? The date is March 1, 2006, my family and I have just relocated from Arizona to Southern California to take over an existing District Operation with Farmers Insurance of 20 Insurance Agencies. We had never lived in Southern California in fact only really visited a few times in our lives. It was an exciting time and yet a nervous, unknown that we were embarking on. We made the move and chose to open an office in Santa Fe Springs, CA and began the hiring process to build our team. We started with a Full-Time Recruiter and for the first 6 months it was just her and I running the District operations. Shortly thereafter we were able to hire the next member of our team, our part-time District Manager Training and Administrative Assistant and we hit the jackpot because I was able to bring someone on who had previously worked in this District operation and had a relationship with many of the Agents that I was still working on developing. Our District operation was off and running. For the first 3 years of operation we managed our District operation between myself, a Recruiter and a District Manager Training and Administrative Assistant. Yet, we knew it was time to grow and so we made the investment in additional staff. We hired a part-time Customer Service/Front Desk Assistant and were blessed as well at this time to become a Mentor District Office and provided an additional Reserve Field Manager that I could mentor, train and develop for a future leadership role with Farmers Insurance Organization. Our team quickly grew from two people to four and we were off and running again. We continued under this model of a team of 3-4 for the next 6 years and had continued success with Farmers Insurance and became a leading District Office in California and within the Company. At this point it was time to grow again and we added an Agency Business Consultant to work with our now 36 Agencies we had and our team was at four again because my Reserve District Manager had now moved on and taken over a District operation of his own. Fast forward to year 10, March 1, 2016 and the plans to grow again presented themselves. We started to develop a passion and belief that we needed to grow our team even more but at this point we were not quite sure how we would do it. Again, because of our successes we were presented the opportunity to add a Field Manager to our team and so the search began. We did not realize it would take almost 6 months before we would find the right candidate but we did and we finished 2016 knowing we would have a Field Manager joining our team. Yet, I firmly believe our story is truly beginning today, March 1, 2017. Our team currently consists of two (2) Agency Business Consultants (previous District Manager Training Administrative Assistant is full-time now and promoted to this role), one (1) District Customer Service Representative, one (1) Field Manager, one (1) Marketing Specialist and one (1) Farmers Life Agent. We enlisted the services of 85/15 Lifestyle business coaching to help us clearly define our Business, Our Core Values, Our Systems and we are about to EXPLODE and our team is going to grow even more. Our story has been marked with many successes, many challenges but the one constant is that we continue to grow as a Team and a Business and believe in the POWER of our team and need to constantly be growing our model!!!!!
