We ordered some of the gourmet cupcakes for my daughter's 1st birthday. The process was very easy and they responded right away! Everyone loved the cupcakes and were happy with the filling inside them! We will definitely be coming back!!
My husband and I got married this past June, and we used Farmington Bakery for our wedding cake. We couldn’t be happier about this decision!! We LOVE to support a local bakery. This was SO MUCH BETTER than supporting one of the big name bakeries in St. Paul and Minneapolis that charge crazy prices for the same product. We LOVED the taste and quality of the cake. We absolutely couldn’t have asked for anything more. We did cake tastings at some of the big name city bakeries and a tasting in Farmington. We got quotes for each company. We could get a 3 tier cake and sheet cakes for the rest of the guests DELIVERED to our Minneapolis venue from Farmington Bakery for the SAME PRICE as a little itty bitty 1 tier cutting cake and sheet cakes for the rest of the guests from one of the big name bakeries in the cities. That is just RIDICULOUS if you ask me and a NO BRAINER to use Farmington Bakery! Melissa, from Farmington Bakery, was SO SWEET and easy to work with for our tasting. They have a room in their newly designed bakery designated for cake tastings which really made the experience special for us. We picked out our flavors and design that day, made our down payment, and then everything was all set! I will attach pictures of our cake! As previously mentioned, our cake was delivered to our venue which I highly recommend. Let the professionals do it!! It was seamless. Everyone LOVED our cake!!! The taste of their cakes and bakery items are so good… much better than Hy-Vee, and I will pay a few extra dollars for that delicious flavor. Plus, their customer service is great! The pink cake I called in for same day was perfect!

I love them!!! I needed a cake for my daughter's birthday, I reached out to places a week ahead of time, who couldn't tell me if they could or not. I called Farmington Bakery, the customer service over the phone was amazing, I was told to email, and I would grt an answer right away. And I did, saying they could make the cake. It was BEAUTIFUL!! Everything we asked for, and more. My daughter was so happy!!!! I love this bakery, and will be going to Doughnuts in the morning!!!
We ordered this chocolate chip ladybug cake for our daughter's 2nd birthday. Not only was it delicious, but it was absolutely adorable.
If you want to satisfy your sweet tooth by a long-running, locally-loved family business, try Sweet Kneads by Farmington Bakery. Three generations of experienced bakers stand behind every bite. People come from mikes around to order their wedding cake here. They are an amazing example if when small-town, dedicated family members make a business thrive for generations. Seldom do I give in to a sweet craving, but when I do, it’s usually a scone. This morning they had both blueberry and raspberry scones. It was so fresh, I could distinguish the ingredients and catch the afterglow of the oven’s magic. If I want a scone, I’ve learned the hard way to come early or they are gone. The new owners have a contagious passion for specialty breads and pastries. They also now serve soft ice cream. For the ravenous hunger of growing, youthful cub scouts or sports events, day-old doughnuts are often packaged up and ready for group events. Parking competes a bit with patrons to the local post office. But usually people are in and out quickly and a parking spot opens right up. I’d say it’s even worth the drive to Farmington MN if you are a Twin Cities dweller. Open seven days a week. Beautiful expansion and renovation.
Never a disappointment! Their donuts are amazing. Their mini loaves of bread are great, we can try new things before we buy a whole loaf. We especially like their rye bread. Great family business.
We initially chose sweet kneads off a recommendation from family for our wedding desserts, did a tasting and decided on a variety of sweets for our wedding. They get 5 stars not only because everything was delicious, quick replies/communication, but we also had a little mis-communication on dates and Melissa the owner was quick to reply and offer a solution. The bakery busted their butts to get our desserts done within a few hours and I am so thankful. Couldn’t recommend them enough!
I highly recommend this bakery!!! It's literally the best baked goods hands down. AMAZING!!! They have a cute shop clean and comfy. I have never had anything from here that I was disappointed with and that runs along the lines of customer service too. They are willing to go that extra mile for you.
