I took my LTC training here at ETTS. My instructor, Dennis Morris made it an awesome experience. He was patient and made sure I was calm during the process. The manager, I didn't get her name, was friendly and knowledgeable. I will be back soon !!
I don't want to review this place because I'm scared they'll get too busy but it's a well deserved 5-star review. ETTS is one of, if not the best outdoor ranges in DFW. You have free range to responsibly use your bay as your wish. Great place to train! Definitely contemplating a membership. Would be a member already if it weren't so far from our house.
Loved the place. Tons of large bays, huge property, friendly staff, and we had a great time.
Recently moved to Texas and heard good things about this range. So I went one day got a tour of the place and talked to few people I ended up joining same day great range they let ya train how you want. Bonus is they also have matches you can join only thing that’s a con is not a lot of Steele but ya can bring your own
Hands down the best gun range I've ever been to... tactical bays allow you freedom while still being safe. Pistol bays include steel which always makes things fun, and if you want to zero your rifle or shoot paper off a bench from 50 yds out to 200 yds they have that to. Oh yeah, and if you like to shoot a long way... they have 1200 yds, it includes berms w/ steel every 100 yds. Only possible complaint would be the drive to get there but then again you can't have something this great in the middle of the metroplex.
Very nice layout, plenty of bays with lots of variety in yardage. Received a tour and then went to it. Always been partial to outdoor ranges. So this is my preference. You pay 30$ and can make a day of it if you so desire. Will be back.
Edited to 3 stars from 5. There are way too many people who come here to shoot. it's difficult to find a good bay. Main Complaint. I would prefer a lottery system membership along with lottery system day passes. There is no shade in most of the bays. I find it hard to believe that with all of the funding they receive, they are unable to install poles and a steel roof. None of the ranges i've been to have this problem. The staff have begun to flex their power to reign people in to follow the rules. They are slightly overbearing. They removed steel targets because fools are continuously damaging the steel. The long range is Member's only. This was my main draw When it is mildly wet, this place is a muddy clay bog. --------------- Year: 2021 5 star - This was my second time coming here. They have pistol bays, long distance 200 yard range for zeroing rifles with nice benches, and rifle ranges 50 yards. There are barrels that can be used for obstacle training in the bays. The pistol bays have metal targets. Some ranges close when it rains too much. Nice people in the office. Smiles and patience. Fill out your 1 time waiver before you go. You only have to fill this out 1 time. Things to bring: Hat gets hot Watergets hot Snacks Ear protection Stapler Targets Ammunition Rifle rest Be safe
Excellent range! Great flexibility to do what you wanted in one of the bays, nice rifle sight in area and on the weekdays plenty of room to yourself. The members areas look incredible too!
First things first. They have great, great, great people running this place. A wonderful family owned business, the nice lady who checked me and my friend in was so great it just set the mood for the whole day. Also I would be remiss if I did not mention that they had 2 parking lot cats who are available for pettings, and yes before you ask both were petted. The layout is beyond awesome, no trouble finding a lane for our pistol familiarization session. There were metal targets to shoot already set up and a nice bench and covering setup. Also worked on a rifle range for a bit. Nice folks everywhere. I love that you can just do what you need to do training wise and you're treated like an adult. Thanks for a great day shooting, I WILL be back.
Went out with my 7 year old boy today to do some plinking. First time out and what a great experience. Owners are really really kind, give you a tour of the place before they let you loose and accommodate you with anything they can. Great all around safe place to go and shoot. Definitely will be back and might be considering the membership. Thank you all!
